Maybe you guys just have bad connection? I am playing on a ASUS 12GB RAM laptop and have no issues. Try checking your connection and specs before you blame the game.

In case no one realized, you have to have less than 10,000 points when you die in order to get the "Loser" achievement. Not like I would be proud dying almost off the bat, but yeah.
