I barely know where to start with this. But let's take it as I think of things to gripe about.
First, getting a larger hitbox is somehow considered a reward in a bullet hell. I should hope I don't need to explain why this is an awful idea. Getting bigger isn't a reward when you can be too big to dodge boss attacks and just get to tank them on your big dumb Cerberus face.
This game has some of the most amateurish and ugly animations, art, and background that I've seen in a long time.
I don't have the first idea when something will harmlessly plink off my colossally overgrown face, knock me down a size, or outright kill me.
In even more trial-and-error fun, I got to figure out via painful Minotaur evisceration whether or not I was big enough to eat a thing, and there's no clear indicator of size.
I don't have room for even half of the things wrong with this game. Try anything else, this game is awful.
I'm not normally one to put money into games, and I don't honestly know if you would have made more through trying for game of the month and tips instead of this method. That being said, I was impressed enough by the story and gameplay that I bought it, and bravo for making a game I of all people am willing to spend money on.
On the other hand, I would be very judicious about using this form of distribution in the future, since as you noticed people here do not generally take kindly to demos or samples of games they otherwise need to buy.
I definitely like Magic better, but this is an excellent training tool for people who don't know how to play Magic, and want a basic dose of the strategies involved before going out and buying some cards of their own.
