So let me get this straight, my computer, which is capable of running something like Dishonored or Payday 2 at maximum graphical settings is incapable of handling this flash game? Are you absolutely sure you've optimized this game, like...at all?
Got the hard badge, and man what a doozy it was. I started with plus, and it was quite enjoyable, until I reached puzzles beyond 20x20. At that point, I just couldn't see all the hints, which is something I enjoy in the smaller ones. 30x30 is a fun challenge for anyone who enjoys the plus game mode (like me) if designed properly, but I eventually just started abusing the hint system to get puzzles done just because there was so much stuff to sort through, especially on that expert 50x50.
We're going to add a few more features to make larger puzzles less frustrating to solve. One of the issues we're facing is that the puzzles are shared between Kongregate and our own website (where fullscreen is available) so removing the larger puzzles from one place would also mean removing them from the other.
Welp, I got my badge. Might I recommend rather than ramming the tutorial down everyone's throats immediately, have it skippable, but only after charon nags you and viciously displaces the skip button across the screen (at a reasonable speed). Also, the difficulty curve is strange, I steamroll the first sector, then half of the second, only to get decisively owned on the next mission over. I'd recommend raising the number of waves we have to deal with by 2x or 3x, and boost early mission difficulty so players like me don't learn to shut off the sounds, then immediately click the auto or fast forward button, and switch to another tab while the battle rages in the background. Beyond that, I can understand why this is an enjoyable game for people. Keep up the good work.
I am level 18 as of this comment. I have not made a single damn decision in this game short of "playing it" and I feel more like it's playing me. Who would seriously vote this game 5 stars? it doesn't even deserve 1.
I suppose the slow pace lends itself to proper storytelling, but after the first playthrough, I would enjoy an "SCP-173" mode for crazy puzzle addicts that want to find the least amount of years necessary to finish the game.
"I've calculated there's a 70% chance that I'll win"
-kicks her ass in 2 hits-
I've calculated there's a 99.999% chance that you'll throw more feces at me claiming that there's a half-decent chance you'll win.
Notes for prospective survival moders: There is a point where your depletion will go directly into your deficit regardless of your energy collection and energy reserves. This is about 25-30 depletion. Energy reserves are most effective when you have about 100 max, any more than that will probably not be taken from. Also, you might have already noticed this by now, but packet speed driver effectiveness caps off at about 10 drivers.
I suppose I did have fun screaming "Get bent" at my monitor and watching my paper boats get sunk via low momentum heavy metal balls/explosive lemons. (/sarcasm)
"Lololol TL;DR"... In all seriousness, this game is simple, sweet, and actually provides quite a bit of a challenge. Having the cute little I roaming through the stories, dodging all of the dark red deathclouds with calming music in the background is quite a change from what I'm used to.
