Divest, I don't know why you are having troubles, but the game is very easy for me in the beginning. Especially if you hire that guy with 8 agility at the start. I don't think everybody who rated the game highly doesn't understand what makes a god game. It really is. The robbers are actually pretty easy, until you get to Okaidi. I find that the strengths of the robbers doesn't difer much too, unless you go outside of your zone. If you headed way up north, then it's normal that you're having problems.
It's a very deep game, but there are way too many items and the battles are pretty boring too. It's just enemy hits character 1, character2 attacks enemy, and so on. If you added attcked animations it wouldn' be so bad. Also, why do you have to finda scroll just to go to the store? "Yay! I have enough gold to buy the item I wanted! Now I just have to find a scroll that will take me to the store..."
