This game has potential, but to really get anywhere you have to have Brass and maybe be a member of the Guard. Both of which no longer function. Still, if they did function the price is way to high for what you get. It's a shame the community died for this game, but given the requirements I'm not surprised. It would be nice to see it come back with full screen support and the full game unlocked, but I think the creator is no longer around. Doesn't mean we can't still have fun with it though. It's a bit grind heavy, but still a good game.
Wow, I never expected anything this good from Big Point. I've tried some of their other games, but I found myself getting bored with them rather quick. This game is pretty cool. I like the lore and the setting and the quests are surprisingly good. Will definitely continue to play this one.
Just wanted to say I love the nostalgic feel this games has. More TRPGs should have an alert mode, it makes the combat so much more engrossing and dynamic. An impressive game to say the least. I can only hope the up coming X-Com: Enemy Unknown as fun as this.
Pretty good game. I'll have to remember about self destruct the time I go through it. The Boss was interesting, and made wish I'd kept the grenade launcher, but the shot gun was fave.
@ ThreeZeroes: Here's a hint, boxes are your friends.
This game was a nice little distraction and there is a pretty good concept here. It feels like a finished game even it is a little short, but hey that's what casuals games are for. If nothing else, you've gained experience in Flash Game mechanics. Keep up the good work.
Impressive, even the secrets are intact. I applaud the efforts that went into this. Doom is still one the best shooters you can play. While there have been huge leaps in FPS games there has also been some loss. Beautiful graphics and story are great things, but I really to miss the clever and deadly level designs of yesteryear. Not to mention the secrets; when did we stop putting secrets in these games? A quick note to the developer, I noticed a missing switch in the first level. It's not major, it just allows you to get the armor earlier in the level. The switch can normally be found in the room off to the left as you start the level. It's on the right side of the pillar on the right side of the stairs. Just a small nit pick, other wise Fantastic job!
I hate to say this but I'm not really seeing a big leap here in these types of games. Though if Quantum (smallest unit of measurement) is meant literally then the description would be accurate. These games would be a blast if they were a bit more streamlined. Real time is nice and all, but it gets boring. I've played many of these hoping to find one that truly stood out, but no luck. This looks nice, but it's the same old thing; there's no hook. Perhaps speeding up time can be your hook. Imagine a bunch of players being able to build an army and go to war in the same day. It's just an idea. Real time games are definitely not for everyone. It's a shame too, because they have so much potential, people just get bored with them before it's realized. Oh well, the search continues.
Man the hours go by fast playing this game. Having spent more time with the game I've run into a minor but fairly annoying issue. To be honest I don't know if there is anything that can be done about it, but here it is. When playing the game you have a floating mouse (pointer) this cause a latency issue with movement, often times the mouse arrives at its destination before the player during quick maneuvers. There also another issue that comes up when dealing with a floating mouse. You may unintentionally leave game screen leaving your player at the mercy of the enemy. As I said it's a minor issue but can get frustrating when in heated battle. Is there anything that can be done about this?
I have to agree with d3c0y84. The game is pretty good, but these issues seriously hold it back. I'm not sure what the deal is with empty chests, but I do find it annoying and trying to build money to get equipment is a bit time consuming and tiresome. This can be remedied by allowing players to earn money with each kill, or putting those empty chests to good use by putting some gold in some of them. Say 20-50 in the weaker areas with slightly increasing amounts as the areas become more challenging. Just a suggestion.
