How is this game so highly rated? It's an utter snore-fest! I got bored halfway through the first level, staying on it long enough for the card was torture. At least in the Bowmaster games there's a skill element in shooting the arrows...
Okay, let's get one thing straight. 100 achievements worked in Amorphous+ because the game itself was tons of fun, and it was skill-based, not (almost) pure luck like this one.
The 100 achievements unlocked badge in THIS game is so boring it's not even worth the 30 points to unlock it.
Bah, this game is really mediocre. There's hardly any point to splitting, all your extras just get eaten. The AI is easily beatable if only because it splits when it's at the largest size for no good reason..
lol. All you people complaining you can't steer need to realize this is a rally / drift style racing game. Try sliding around the corners, it'll start making sense then.
The game is, if anything, way too easy. The checkpoints are very lax, and it seemed like the AI more or less gave up on the last two races, it was pathetic.
Meh. The game was okay, but all of the philosophising in the endgame was utterly boring and tired stuff pretending to be deep. It didn't help that you had to double-tap spacebar to get through each line of gameplay-interrupting text, either...
meh. The survival mode badges are amazingly easy if you can type decently; I had 170k+ before I got bored in Hard survival and the only damage I'd taken was from the silly corpses sliding in.
The medium badge is, oddly enough, harder to get because of the stupid quicktime-event-bosses at the end of each stage which can kill your temple entirely (from full health!!) if you don't tap buttons fast enough. Quite lame.
There's a really annoying bug - every so often a guy comes along with "OFFE" written on top, and none of the letters work. If he charges the temple, it's fine, you get hit - no big deal. But if he's a shuriken ninja, he just stands there and throws stars at you for EVER, after you've killed everyone else - there's nothing you can do but die. The special attack slash doesn't even kill him.
It's not bad, the control scheme could use work and the AI is pretty lousy at times, but still manages to be kinda fun.
There are bugs though, specially w.r.t. unit cap not being returned when some ships die (big problem in survival mode).
Got up to wave 36 on survival mode - Tips:
> Use your control drones to draw fire away from the attack ships - they're the best armored and can take a beating.
> Use the cruiser drones, they fire fastest and have good armor.
> Upgrade Plating, then Damage, then Thrusters.
The "Standard AI" is ridiculously retarded. If there was an option to control bots more directly (or just make them STOP instead of moving around drunkenly!) it'd be a lot nicer. 3/5
