Stage 4 orb, use the space bar to pause (can do this any time to check enemy buffs) - you will need to kill these 2 enemies within half a second of each other. You'll need high attack speed here. I recommend pause buffering, getting them both as low as you safely can, DON'T use any AOE skills, and take cross strike to finish off the 2nd enemy quickly.
I've only played a handful of bullet hell games but this is way up there. The depth is impressive, and the idea of having an inventory to keep upgrades to use for different situations is something I don't think I've seen before but it's GENIUS! Why this is isn't standard in all upgrade-heavy games now comes as a surprise and makes the others seem primitive. The only thing that would have improved this is to have stats on all enemies in some kind of database and more detail on stacking effects. maybe enemy HP bars. But having said that, experimentation was a big part of the fun! 5/5 - best game I've played on Kong for a while.
To break 3k or so, let powerups build up (they come every 400 points). I usually wait for 9-12 powerups. Then you can get a larger multiplier which lasts until the next powerup, which will then carry you to the next and so on. Enjoy!
After finishing it once I refreshed, and this time went backward through the levels from the start screen, the enemies were harder and I had to navigate backwards to the start to get a gun and then try to finish the harder version with reduced life. I like that you put that in for an extra challenge :) then I realised I could do the same thing but once I had the gun keep going back, to the start, and then back to the end (if that makes sense) for an easier version of the challenge :P
Don't know what everyone is complaining about - I finished it with 20 lives ;) only kidding, it's very tough, I got lucky and had very good timing on my final run, up to 29 lives for the final boss! If you're in a very tight situation, don't be afraid to go up and over enemies, especially boss 6 and 7 or the green missiles...
Aha! I knew 1337 would be the code :) "You enter 1337 into the keypad, feeling hopeless and-Wait a minute? 1337? How did you know that 1337 was the code?" lol
