Not to suggest copying Tyrant, but would it make sense to have a separate ap bar for hero battles? It could eliminate the problem of a disconnect between the two battle types and stop people from having to choose between the two...
Might sound like I'm just echoing Chip, but how exactly does this help one's galaxy (i.e., the pre-existing game)? It's a nice concept, but it feels fairly separate from all previous gameplay. I guess I'm just looking for a connection.
The main character equipments dropped by the new raid boss have +ship attack set bonuses. Random pirate hero battles add good amount of exp. And next week we are adding another integration piece that in the test server.
Easy Kill Epic (and possibly other bosses): If you keep your ship high enough on the screen that you keep bumping into him and getting knocked back when he first appears, he'll never start attacking because he's programmed not to do so unless his whole ship is visible. So if the upgrades you've purchased give you enough armor and healing ability not to die from bumping into him repeatedly, you can just sit there with autofire on (and maybe some bosskiller missles) and wait till it's over. I know it works on Epic, but I never tried it on other bosses.
