One major complaint that I have, is that anyone with a computer that lags, or stutters, will almost NEVER be able to do time-trials. Please make the time-trial clock an IN-GAME clock. When you have 15-30 seconds to do something, and you're swing takes 3 seconds to happen, you CANNOT complete the level on time. I could simply close my 50+ tabs with other things (Including Flash games) loaded to stop my lag, but some people can't (Too much hassle for me with no achievements to earn requiring time-trials done).
The game is fun to a point. The AI are nearly completely useless outside of being fodder at various points in the game, unless they're constantly upgraded they just die to terrible programming. Outside of the forced grind to level them up, the primary character combat is what I would expect in the "hit and run" style, which I'm fine with, but because of the AI you're forced to upgrade stats other than Attack and Speed, which I find pointless. This style of game should be playable outside of mandatory getting hit by some enemies because your fodder ran away.
Honest review time. The plant is a random click-able thing that has no use in the game. The story is wholly inadequate. The majority of the game is spent washing clothes. The primary goal to the game is to obtain 10 items that are so small that you have to sit in each room for atleast a minute looking around for a flash in order to progress if you weren't lucky enough to mouse-over them (Only 1 or 2 are actually difficult to find, but there is no gameplay to finding them.) Lastly, the dialogue is terrible.
All in all, the game has pretty graphics, and an okay music line, albeit very repetitive. I spent more time looking for a gear than dealing with the plot, and ultimately the game was rather bland. 2/5 (For function and prettiness.
Good job making a puzzle, the game did it's job, but for some odd reason the picture made me want to murder something. Please refrain from the overly cutesy thing.
4/5 Being required to obtain a set amount of the sprite droppings prior to the lights going out, within a time limit, without knowing. Just seems like a bad idea. That alone wasn't what made me vote 4, but the fact that playing through a second time to get all of them, I couldn't skip the dialogue or certain "scenes" Just made it a hassle. All in all, great game though!
For those people who have a Black screen with music, try changing your zoom. Click outside of the black window, and hold Ctrl, then scroll your mouse wheel down, or up depending on your level of zoom.
There's a "bug" that needs fixed. Something that can be a major problem in the later levels if you focus on damage over Survivability, is that when a wave is completed, your tank's new armor can still be damaged by remaining missiles. An easy fix for this would be to trigger a health/armor reset at the 1 second mark since the next wave button would also trigger this ^^.
I LOVE the commentary to this game, it's great, witty, and hilarious. My wife and I played through together, (We have computers sitting next to each other = P) and I did the vocal narrative of the story. We loved it. Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but the very last line after you've beaten the game, the one that say's "The End" is a bit off. I think it should say something like "He is the one to raise the country from ruin, but that story is long and uninteresting, and I am sleepy." Just thought I'd throw my two cents in, Phenomenal game, 5/5.
Completed campaign as Necro, My wife, Completed it as a Beast Master. Neither of us got the badge. We'll come back later hopefully it'll be fixed. We refreshed endlessly, cleared cache, etc. Not sure what the problem is.
I love the game, the playing was great, but the lack of speed early on makes it boring to beat the game. I couldn't stand having to manually control my way through the first couple of areas every time so that I could move on to the next area and get better materials. 4/5 mainly because the repetition of manual control early on takes away from the later parts of the game.
My Suggestion is to have acceleration and max speed be a factor early, rather than the farther you are, the faster you go. Make the distance of the entire game farther even, just make it a little less attention intensive to increase the fun of upgrading and completion. Just a thought, keep up the good work!
Simple addition that I believe would make a lot of people happy, a "Fast Forward" of some sort to make the pouring water stage of the game go MUCH faster. I find myself alt-tabbing after I hit start. The larger pipe structures simply take way to much time to flow. Specially when I know I've completed the level. Other than that, 5/5.
Great game, all the factory balls have been amazing games. I second the notion of either hotkeys or a "Remove all" key/spot. This would make some of the later puzzles a little bit faster to complete. As opposed to trying to remember the order in which I placed the earmuffs, and the hat, etc. I'd like to see a slight variation on control scheme in the next one, other than that, another 5/5 for Factory Balls. (Also, great idea making them tree ornaments ^^)
The biggest complaint I have, is the controls. Inventory may seem to be a pain, but meh. The games fine as is, but why add the "WASD" movement system, without a hotkey system for your skills. You have to click on all the enemies to attack them, twice, then you're off to clicking to activate your skills. This leads people to want to click to move. Simple enough.
Oh, Also. If you use a feather, and die mid-cast. I think you should die, and NOT continue to the outpost. I'm fine with dying, but I kinda got my hopes up to save my two levels gained, and I see the outpost like "YAY!" then the "Game Over" screen pops up. Kinda disappointing.
Amazing game. I have no complaints at all. The only bug I seen was that during one of the levels I went through the roof instead of being smushed by a raising platform. Easily fixed by rewinding. The music alone in this game deserves a 5 Star rating, the gameplay is easily the most original, and fun I've seen in a LONG time, and the Turtle with the Top-hat!? I mean c'mon. If I wasn't so broke I'd tip you guys, simply because I can't rate 15/5. Great job. Keep making games guys ^^.
So, I originally rated this game a 5/5. After playing the Mini-games, and so on, it has enough originality to be interesting enough. It has great gameplay. The one issue, was the "Bounce" button seems to cause me to face-fault into the ground, and slide the majority of the time.
I decided to re-rate the game a 3/5 after getting to the Mountain level. I got bored with the game before I unlocked the Beach, the Beach didn't revitalize my interest. So it was all very short lived. Normally I'd play a game until completion anyway, but I'm tired of missing great Music Vids on Youtube, etc. Not being able to leave the tab while my guy launches for 20 minutes, took 2 points from the score. Other then that, great game ^^.
Tip for those that miss by a few bucks... refresh the page before you hit anything. You can replay the last week without starting over ^^. Fun game, 4/5 Needs something special to get a 5/5 I'm a critic, so sue me = P.
I've been playing this game on occasion for years now. Great game, great music. The "Juggling the big meteors" is really just a waste of time guys. Takes too much attention. Just learn how to use one power ball to bounce off multiples. Use small bursts of normal shots to get rid of small ones. When you have a cluster, find the middle, and shoot a power ball or two in there, ricochet opens everything up. Don't take it too seriously, and you'll do fine ^^.
Thanks for playing full campaign. I have fixed the problem. Many are getting medium badge now.
