when a new friendship task comes up that's like "get x money", all other friendship "get x money" tasks reset. it's a pretty unfortunate thing when you're *so close* to getting a task done only to complete a different one only for the progress bar to drop to zero. :/
Maybe explain how the angel investor "difficulty" curve works? Asin, is it cumulative based on money earned? Because if so, that poses a possible minor problem for active players who soft reset at specific intervals (1/2, 1/3, 1/5 angel investors to total). Not asking you to change gameplay, but a disclaimer would be helpful now that the new upgrades are out. Thanks, HHG staff!
Not really a comment so much on the game itself, but I like the ironic optimism shown in the comments both by players and devs toward capitalism. It's refreshing to see people able to laugh at themselves and the underpinning ideas of a game they made/play. That's a culture worth buying into, Capitalists!
Consider introducing minor achievements that aren't specifically linked to certain types of businesses, perhaps with money rather than time, but which stack like the others? Such as, have 1k total businesses, 1.2x $ multiplier. It would encourage people to diversify their assets in late-mid game instead of just waiting for oil companies to become available! + If you think this would be a neat idea!
Consider changing the string of numbers of angel investors to words after the first million or billion! It's irritating to count more than ~7-9 digits.
Absolutely brilliant design, the shop and toggled features make for a slightly different, customizable experience, and keeps the game from getting too redundant. (Also, more logic/puzzle game designers should add similar features, I think, and it's kind of surprising they don't?) But my favorite part of this is the difficulty curve, which, as far as I can tell, would be very smooth for beginners (I've been doing pic-a-pix for a year or more now), unlike some of the comparable games on the site. So impressed. 5/5 for design/curve--after all, what more could you want from such a game? I'd be really interested to play a much broader game similar to this, but also including sudoku, kakuro, hashi, etc. Anyway, thanks for the great game!
done! :)
