Raid and daily missions became way too easy for my current level, would be great to have an opportunity to have sonethibg more challenging for better loot
Enjoying the game - this time it's better with empire's building, settlers are just to numerous ). Received bronze armor, but it's still way to hard to kill even a colossus. After building a big state done game became a little bit without direction - just to build many cities and avoid really strong foes (and waiting for dragon who will burn your state) is rather repetitive. What we gonna see after? That unclear (
Some strange things remaked:
1. Settlers sometimes could go to the sea from ports - but mostly can't. Rarely they could install the city in the location near shore (with fish, for example), but mostly can't. Why?
2. In the beginning cities offer feats constantly, but after some point - never. Why?
3. Dragon is so damned hard. I wish to have something like special weapon to at least repel it from my cities (((
Thanks for your comments.
1. Settlers can be taken to sea once your culture has developed the seafaring advance.
2. Settlements develop assets over time depending on the local resources, cultural advances, and other nearby settlements. If your settlement has stagnated, maybe try using some settlers to move some livestock closer or to extend nearby plant resources. Sometimes settlements are never going to grow large as they are in a resource wilderness.
3. Dragons are very hard - I recommend taking them on only in a fortress with ballistas, and having settlers on the same space (as they will soak up some damage..
But I think that it needs some important upgrades, especially a real help. We have no idea, for example, how cities evolves? Why they sometimes spawns settlers one after another and then stop to do that for like ever? Why some villages become fortresses and some not? May be it's a good idea - our hero don't know it too - but it would help. I also would fix something - for example, system of save is really strange; settlers should have a wright to go through other cities (why not?) and of course we cannot have a real game (with highscores noted) only in hardcore mode - especially if even with good weapon and armour you very could be killed by a mediocre bandit sometime ). Thanks a lot, really. It's a great game
Thanks for your feedback, glad you are enjoying it. I've added some more details on the settlement assets and cultural advances so that you get some clues as to what they might do. Hope that helps.
This game is definitely one of the most exciting and intense experience in my gaming for a long time. Very unattractive and way too hard (because of constant dying from everything) from the beginning it's very not "easy to play hard to master", as we always wait now. But if you go through first (well, and second) difficulties, it's a whole world to discover and make better. Somehow reminds my first Civilizations of Sid Meyer, but with totally different vibe. I really like the idea that we don't know which the target of the game is and is it possible to win.
Very promising game. May be Thieves class a little bit unfinished - they don't have some real useful abilities which could balance their weakness. May be add Nomads on their place? Really fast but weak cavalry?
They are designed as a fast troops to distract enemy units and eliminate casters and archers. And they are doing their job well enough. All mounted units need more space to operate, and hopefully you'll see wast maps and cavalry in the sequel )
