Pretty good game, but I am very much nagged by the fact that the game is simply a puzzle where you need to solve the sequence of optimal moves mission for mission.
I absolutely love CW and actually bought the first game out of loyalty - thanks for providing us with more game! My only slight nitpick is that, per design, the difficulty on each map decreases pretty quickly. The first few moves and minutes are tense, but once you have a certain area clear / brought in place a mortar, your cooling power cannot fall behind the creeper's heat generation any more, and it is just a matter of mopping up. Admittedly, sometime with the challenge of how to achieve it in a quick fashion, but bar a disastrous mistake you usually pretty quickly get to the pont where you cannot lose anymore.
It has not dulled my apprciation of the game, but on occasion I think it is a slight flaw in the difficulty design - the more awesome your network, the less you actually need it.
Still, a big thumbs up and thank you from me!
There should be settings to deine the default value for auto-harvest and auto-suppress, so that you do not have to tweak each new planet if you are unhappy with 50%/4.
I love the game, but another suggestion is that gems should not waste shots at monsters just disappearing in the tower... especially since there seems to be a slight delay before the gem resumes firing again afterwards.
The bug where the direction of the shot does not match your selection gets a little annoying eventually. It seems to be especially prevalent with shots on the righ side of the penalty area, goal visible.
Sadly, temples of the beholder are utterly useless - they really only do their damage once the floating eye has connected with the enemy, making them far too slow and have an effective DPS of near zero, since their target is usually dead by the time the eye connects. Regrettable, since it eliminates one interesting choice from high-end towers.
I guess I'm crazy, but I actually -like- that you cannot fast forward and thus have to play the game in a more involved fashion. Something I never manage when that ffwd beckons...
