I can't speak for Mirakos, but I agree the camera gets to be a little disorienting. For me, I *think* what does it is the fact that the view area follows the mouse. So I'll be travelling one direction, and the screen will be moving that way, then something will be coming up from the other side, I'll move the mouse to shoot, and suddenly the screen jars the other direction. I'm not sure without seeing examples whether that means it's too fast, or if just the fact it moves causes that.
crakattakk, the tailslide will help you get to the restaurant because you can tailslide on the ribbons of stars as well. That has two benefits (1) The first time you starslide you get extra jumping power from all slides and (2) you jump higher out of tailslides based on how fast you're sliding. So you hit a starslide, then get a tailslide going really fast across the water. Jump out of it. Then make sure to slide and jump off the stars as you hit them. Since you'll have lots of horizontal speed, you'll pretty much jump of each ribbon of stars at the same speed you left the water.
Just to add a bit to what Joe said - if you can hit a starslide, then get back in the water and jump from a _very_ fast slide, you can make Saturn before you even slow down. Then it's just a matter of actually catching more star slides and jumping off them on the way up (which unfortunately feels like 80% luck at times).
It's ok, you've done enough folding today :)
