Honestly I think this is a pretty interesting concept but you are going to have to fix the collision and item spawns. There were a couple of time when items spawned right next to obstacles and i wouldnt even hit them but beyond that just refine it.
Yup, the Bird have Hit Poin (HP) so you must set your strategy for hiden item in back of obstacles or near it.

You can choose get all item or keep your HP for Fight the Boss
My only problem with this game was that fact that my mouse stopped working and some of the levels are so frustratingly hard with a mousepad that I had to stop multiple time just to calm down because the speed needed to move from box to box on some levels was ridiculously high. I did enjoy the game though and am glad to say that you can at least beat it with a mousepad it is just harder.
