I really enjoyed this game, and did rate five, but I think people need to take a step back and think before they comment. Sure, the in-your-face aspect is the clarity/color as it relates to obedience/disobedience. The narrative is more important in my eyes, though. As I played I did a mix of things, tending towards disobedience. Playing the game not as absolutes, but with a more fine-grained approach presents the clarity/color changes as merely a visualization of what you innately feel.
Obeying/disobeying things you know you shouldn't and the resultant consequences seem, to me, the more poignant message. I know that I have a disobedient streak, but it was interesting to see how far that went, even though the "game" portion can be made easier by obeying. Also, the parts I obeyed were ones that made the game more difficult, not less. This could reveal something about myself. Or not. It's interesting to think about nonetheless. For provoking thought in and entertaining me, 5/5.
@Waterydeath: You can castle. Also, that's how promotions work.
The thing this is really lacking is a sidebar showing notation for the match (preferably copy/pasteable.)
9:01:228 speedrun is my best so far; that damn level 13 is doubling my time. Time includes getting on the roof of level 14 for 100% completion. (woops, forgot I wasn't supposed to mention that)
Let me reiterate: the massive work put into the storyline of this game shows beautifully. It's been a few months since I played this the first time around, and the same portions tugged at me now as did then. This game provides hours, possibly even days of enjoyment, satisfaction, as wonder as you again ponder the tale of these Robot Dinosaurs That Shoot Beams When They Roar.
