One thing I would tweak is that the 'synergy' decks (art magician, marauder, etc) are so hard to put together that by the time you accumulate the needed cards you'll have enough collection to just spam ultra rares. So I never got to play with those decks. Maybe defeating certain opponents could award you with a card from their 'tribe'.
Got a first turn kill! The game is very unbalanced but it's a good thing, IMO. Lots of the fun for me was looking at a new card and doing a double take like 'wait, it does WHAT? for FREE'
5/5. Mechanics are fun. Recommend not overcorrecting for balance, as part of the enjoyment for new players is figuring out what cards are OP.
One criticism is that as the game progresses the enemies stats scale up so drastically that the only winning plan is to "stunlock" them by preventing them from ever playing their cards. Would recommend having some enemies keep their hp and damage similar to early game while making their cards easier to play.
Fun game. Competent ccg. The balance is off but it's fine because part of the fun is finding the overpowered and underpowered cards. There should be more generic mana costs (i.e. 2UU) because otherwise monocolor decks get to play their cards twice as early. Would also like to see some save mechanism tied to the kongregate account. Right now there's too much grinding to just lose everything because you cleared your cookies.
Tinkering is tedious I'd prefer if you just gave us the recipes but nbd.
Fun little game. Grind is a bit tedious with so little to do. There's a couple of pinch points when you first obtain new colors where you're really set back if you lose that chip. Obviously going to have to introduce a way to add chips to the economy when/if the game is popular enough to have PVP. I like the dynamic of using the underpowered 'hide' cards to goad the AI into not surrendering.
Level 25 is unattainable? Everytime I accumulated enough experience via defeating a bot, the game would log me out and back in with my previous experience. Then I tried forging my way to level 25 and now I can't log back in at all.
garbage p2w. No strategy because grinding takes so long that for the first month you basically just slam your best cards into a deck and watch the animation play out. Rewards are set up so established players get more, letting them stay on top.
Sorry to hear you feel that way vulpine - we see from your account that you only gave it two days. While I agree we need to deepen the deckbuilding strategy for new players, I'm not sure why you think it would take a month before the game would be nothing about 'slamming your best cards in your deck'. Please let me know in the forums if you have any good ideas about how to make the game better, we would appreciate it.
what a shame. This would easily be in my top 5 but the lag makes it unplayable. Changed quality setting. Deleted all other data. Still variable delay of 0-1 second between input and response, which makes later levels literally impossible.
The next update will include many new deck types and also many new enemies, eventually those synergy decks will become more influential. :)
