I suck at strategy games. Trying to get the hang of this I died several times, finally managed to get a stronghold. After fortifying my defenses, I expanded to another area and then controlled half the map. The creeper put a dent in my front line, then tearing through my collectors in a wave of destruction. But I prevailed, somehow managed to get them locked in a stalemate again. Then, I decided to further fortify my defenses, built a huge reactor farm and several energy / speed relays. When those were built, I finally felt that momentum was on my side and that I could push forward to the emitters and pin at least a few of them down. That exact moment, the game decided: "60 MINUTES HAVE PASSED YOU DIE NOW."
Never looking at this game again.
The problem is that I keep messing up the controls. Oh, a square appeared to the left of the green Square. I push the left arrow to get there, tilting the bar way too much and the red ball falls off. :D
" @Black_Spirit Apparently you don't know math either. " - The painful thing is that he is right, though. the left side has an odd number of minuses, making it negative; the right one has an even number, making it positive. Both numbers have the same value, meaning he rated it -1/1, or -100%. Of course, this is mere coincidence and doesn't change the fact that he is an 11 year old ADS kiddie who couldn't sit still in his chair after playing this for 30 second because not a single tile exploded, therefore he hated it.
I love it when the Game Over screen just appears out of nowhere when you are simply crossing the map, no reason given... and yes I still had food and water.
This game requires no skill, you figure out how to complete a level after one or two tries, but then you have to try 100 times more until you got the angle and power down right to the last pixel when it actually works... 2/5
101 mode seemed impossible but then I just made 2 exits and alternately blocked them off. Easy win.
I cheated! I cheated! At Pirate Defense :D
...but in a game about pirates, it even seems appropriate to cheat xD
I succesfully attack the Mines in Lvl2, however they do not belong to me and are now shown as unoccupied. I attack again and now it's taken over, but my army automatically proceeds to attack the enemy encampment without giving me time to build an army. Do not understand. Game has potential though.
Got 162K on first try and only lost because a green ring pointed at a green -> red -> blue-tower when I had no yellows. Not enough time to move these out of the way, but there is a luck factor. So it's a decent game, but only good for a one-time play. 3/5
So what does this game teach us?
If a world-threatening disease ever infects hundreds of thousands of people within a day, we must all move to Madagascar. There, we are safe.
This game is based on luck and anyone who says something else does not understand the game. When you get two "Stella"-limiters right next to each other you NEED ae Stella-Stella double piece and whether or not you get it in three deals is 100% luck. Without that piece, even Albert Einstein couldn't solve the puzzle.
..........And that was just ring 16...
I really like games like these and that's exactly why I can't approve of this one. You can't mix the amount of bullets from a modern shooter with the huge, ship-sized hitbox of a retro shooter. This game is a waste of creativity - there are some nice bullet patterns in there, but you have to circle around them because the space in between the bullets is smaller than the hitbox. So they could as well shot oversized grey bricks and it would play identically.
Still a nice effort for a flash game. 2/5
