Hey, that's intended! Pawnbarian is very clearly chess-inspired but it does have some differences in the way pieces work. Make sure to read the descriptions.
Great game. I see effort in how you did the pack sorting, but item management still needs serious improvements (it seems to be a rather tedious affair in all the Monster's Den games). Most importantly, we need a way to play around with inventory between missions, so that we can equip all characters. It's hard to really put those set armors together otherwise. It would also be great to visit the emporium between missions and even have a bank to store stuff outside of the packs we carry. Finally (and this really isn't need much but it would be great) a way to search for certain item perimeters would help when looking for the "Increased gold value" items to sell.
Am I doing this right? I go to the guy who supposedly gives me the axe, but then I go to the bird and nothing happens. I don't see any change in my items and I can keep going to the axe guy who says he is giving me the axe.
I got a weird bug. Instead of damage that I am doing listed it says "YO IT ENEMY OR IE ME" or "YO IT ENEMY OR POISON ME" or "YO IT ENEMY OR EETRI ME". And When I am receiving damage from a monster it says "ENEMY ITS YO OR". Are you outsourcing your programming to urban highschools?
Famous cities? Puh-lease. Half of the the cities asked are small colonial territories somewhere in Africa. I doubt even Europeans are well-versed in where various cities are. You may know the capital of a few of the more important nations, but there are countries being asked that if that country disappeared tomorrow, no one would notice - not even that nations 2k inhabitants.
I don't usually like these type of games. That being said, this game completely owns.
If there was a game that disparately deserved badges, this is it.
