After getting the golden ending, I wanted to see what happened if you didn't get at least 8.50. You still get the pizza, and the tip is negative. Should be killed by the pizza guy and forced to restart!

A little tedious grinding for the final upgrades, but over-all extremely well-balanced for this type game. Usually you get all the upgrades and everything is just full auto. Final levels still slightly challenging and good ability use is a must. 4/5
For the cipher text, excel with CODE and CHAR functions makes life a lot quicker than doing them by hand--and I bet google spreadsheets has those functions as well. Great game, well-executed. Probably not as difficult for us kids that grew up in the days of command prompts (probably the easiest "hard" kong badge I've earned), but fun nostalgia.
Really well done. Excellent writing, great job creating suspense even when there was no real danger with the trees/fracturing/cultists. I agree with the other comments that say a sequel is definitely in order.
Glitched. Lost a battle, wound up outside the wall in a room with a transporter. No way to get back inside game bounds. Auto-save means I couldn't even exit and restore my last save game. Sadness.
It would be great if you had a keystroke option for activating the warp. Playing on a touchpad is difficult, but would be much more user-friendly if I could just set the cursor where I needed it, then jump and use a keypress to activate the warp/switch.
I can't get out of the "How to Play" screen. It just loops forever. If I click it shows the main screen for half a second before restarting the tutorial.
Challenging without being absurd. Let you practice each skill needed until you got it well enough to continue on, without punishing you immensely. Really nicely done.
