It would be nice if the skills all had titles that had a little bit more to do with what the skills are actually for. I'm trying to decide which items to use, but I have to look back at the skills page to figure out which skills I want.
Buildings all have 2 kinds of caps. There is a cap to the number of units it can support before units held inside begin to die off, and there is a cap to the number of units that can temporarily be held within. Any excess units inside a building that has exceeded the first cap will die over time until the building is no longer over this cap. Any units that are moved to a building that would exceed the second cap will die immediately, wasted.
Small Spawner: Small Cap- 20. Large cap- 30.
Medium Spawner: Small Cap- 40. Large Cap- 60.
Large Spawner: Small Cap- 60. Large Cap- 90.
Tower: Small Cap- 10. Large Cap- 15.
Small/Medium/Large Crystal- Equal to same-size spawner.
Take these caps into account when moving troops to the front. Excess units can be utilized, if used immediately and moved to an enemy controlled building, rather than simply allowed to waste away.
There is always a war-front, and there is the space you control at the back. Always pay attention to the front. Troops need to be moved quickly, so you need to make sure you attack the closest building to whatever front you are concerned with at the moment. Don't attack anything with troops from behind the front, as your units will have a large amount of territory to cover before they arrive at their target. Only attack with units stationed nearest to your enemy's buildings. Any buildings behind the war-front have just become generators, useful only to replenish dangerously low front-buildings.
The key is to have more units build up than your opponent. At the start of a game, don't worry about towers, or crystals, or even large spawners. Hit the nearest small spawners immediately. The more spawners you have, the faster you gain troops. Small spawners take less soldiers to capture, so you will end up with more soldiers than if you had attacked a large spawner.
I liked the game, thought it was fun, right up until the boss fight at the end, with the switchover. I'd really enjoyed playing the hero, got to know his powers, etc., then I was thrown over to the other guy. Game would get 5 stars from me if the switchover was done away with. Or Vandheer Lorde did a bit more damage =)
My memory of high school mythology is a bit shaky...but wasn't Achilles the one whose only weakness was his heel? The only way to kill him was to hurt his heel? Hence the term 'Achilles Heel'? So explain to me how it is Achilles can be killed by an arrow to the chest?
I like the way the game is executed, and also the ideas behind it. The game could be even better if you provided the option to create one's own characters, rather than the premade ones already there. Part of what makes games like this great is the ability to make the heroes your own.
the spinning star animation seems to make the game extremely laggy. I'm not sure what the problem behind that is, but it *really* needs to be taken care of. The game has a wonderful concept, and its execution is great, other than the lagging.
