I've beaten lvl 14 with every class and actually use that level to grind, since I level up about once per run. It should be doable as long as whatever class you're using is at least level 11. For medic, the scar should be sufficient, tho I've also succeeded with the 357 and colt 45 I'd use combat mastery or regenerative tissue for the skill. I think I've won using barrett with scout and I know I won with jackal and dragunov. I usually use vital sight. With command you can win with aug hbar and ammo feed, I find them to be the easiest. And tank can win with spas 12 using armor mastery or adrenaline. With tank I've also won using a shield and pistol. Kill streaks aren't important for me, I hardly use mine so any should be sufficient.
For everyone saying that this game is not made by the same guy as the last 5, load up any of the other 5 epic wars and on the loading screen you should see art logic games. Rudy Sudarto and art logic games are basically the same thing, why he made an art logic games account to upload this game under is a good question, but it's still the same person.
Since powerups can link to any tile I don't really understand why I can't link to one mid-combo.
I also think it would be better if powerups allowed you to combo any 2 colors per round (as in I can go power-up-> purple -> red x 2 -> purple or something).
A button to exit battle would be nice fro the inevitable bad set-ups you'll see whil hunting gold trophies.
Finally, I agree the map needs to be larger for the type of matching involved, too luck based as is.
@gwaer I really don't see why you thought it would be necessary to stockpile 100 packs, 12 packs would be sufficient if you managed to win 3 consecutive drafts in a row, if you place less than first you have a week to save up for a whopping 3 packs, or more in case you win. I can, I understand why it would be annoying but i just don't see why you couldn't just leave it all as coins and spend as necessary or whatever.
The devs threw a curveball by turning established packs into the new packs, to an extent, but i don't understand why more people didn't save gold in case devs released new, no-dc packs and had hundreds of packs for drafts.
Some people had hundreds of packs stored up and I can understand why those people would be upset, I can't really understand why people stocked up over 100 packs, or really more than like 20. I didn't stock up at all but I really can't imagine having more than like 12 for myself. They seem to run a sale every week, which means 40% off gold packs isn't a rare occurrence, you need 3 gold packs to draft plus 3 for every time you come in first, if you come any place less than first, you're probably waiting a week for a draft pack, plenty of time to earn 3 gold packs even at 10k. CCG's release new cards, if they don't they probably aren't doing very well. After the first new set release, gold packs would either be obsolete to all but the newest players, or new sets would be dc only and everyone would continue buying gold packs for drafts.
@gwaer replacing old gold packs with new gold packs would effectively be putting the new cards on sale before they were even released, people that have been playing for weeks or months and decided to save up gold packs for drafting could just open a ton of packs and, in theory, get tons of new cards. Most packs would probably have been bought at sale prices
I'm sure they're aware of the grievances and I would expect them to try for a smoother update during the next set. I would wait to see what the devs do, they may even offer some sort of compromise. If nothing else, be cautioned on stockpiling so many gold packs, even at 10000 coins, it should be easy enough to get 3 packs before you get 3 draft packs if you aren't coming in first every time, and if you are, then you have to wait 2-3 days to buy 3 packs.
Like I said 2 posts ago, I do feel the way they added the new cards was unusual and wasn't easy to predict, but players should have been aware change was coming and should have been cautious to some extent. If players had saved their coins and the new packs were dc only, at least the coins could still be spent on packs even if they were no longer on sale. Beyond that, I've seen the 40% off gold packs sale at least 3 different times and they seem to have some kind of deal every week, so worst case scenario was you're stuck buying packs 3 at a time until you can stock up in bulk during the next sale, which I think is reasonable to expect based on what we've seen. Overall, I'd say that the fact that the devs allow you the option of getting all the cards for free (except the promos I think) and that the option extends to the new cards, in addition to their excellent customer service, should outweigh the annoyances that came along with the recent update. (one last post)
I can see why players would be annoyed if they were all set up to draft or had packs set up for multiple drafts and can now do nothing but open them or hope for a refund. On the other hand, I'm sure the devs don't want the new set to immediatly be on sale or to have effectively been on sale before they were even released (for players that stocked up on gold packs). All players should have been aware that a new set was being released and most people seemed to expect it with the next release, so even with the sale on gold packs, you still should have been considering what the new set might change when it releases. If you already had a stock of gold packs for drafting, you should have at least considered saving your coins for buying up the new set on release in case it was available for coins, or possibly to stock up on for drafting. (will continue in next post)
I wasn't expecting the devs to simply switch the gold packs out with packs that include the old AND new cards, so i can't really fault anyone for not expecting that, however, I can see why the devs might have done that other than making a bran new pack or set of packs. If they had there own packs that were dc only, like newer cards in tyrant, fans would have complained. If they had there own packs, they would either be the price of gold packs or have a number of variations like the original set had, in which case it may slow down players looking to draft since they would then need players with 3 draft packs, and 3 of whichever "gold" packs they decided to save. If they allowed for players to go up against new cards with old cards in drafts, chances are 1 set would be considered better than the other and most players would play that set, putting you at a disadvantage if you want cards that only come from the other set. Overall this is simpler. (will continue in next post)
Also, if you run the card traders like my idea, you could also run sets of traders where you trade x number pf cards of one rarity to get a card one rarity higher. Something in the range of 3-5 cards for 1 new card I think.
I was also thinking of an idea for re-purposing extra cards like mizurami, also inspired by the megaman battlenetwork games. I was thinking of something along the lines of a bunch of separate cards traders for different rarities. Something like trade 10-15 commons for maybe 2-3 random commons. 10-15 is kinda high if you aren't really buying bronze or silver packs, but I don't expect people to be trying for commons anyway. Then maybe a trader for 6-8 uncommons for 1 or 2 random cards, then maybe 3 rares for a new rare and 2 epics for a new epic. I don't think many people would trade more than 1 legendary for a new legendary and 1 for 1 would mean getting any legendary guarantees you'll get whichever legendary you want if you just keep trading, so i think there shouldn't be a legendary trader. Just an idea.
I usually tire of energy games very easily but I think you guys did a pretty good job with it. It heals fairly quickly, refills on level up, and passively increases as you level. I do wish that there were more ways to refill energy other than patience and leveling or spending the hard to earn dragon coins (I will avoid paying for games like this for as long as possible due to lack of funds), or at least other ways to boost max energy. Once gold packs go back up to full price tho, they might be a deal breaker, 6k coins is pretty pricey as is. Very fun game so far tho...
I agree that there needs to be a way to get more than 1 soul per battle. It doesn't make sense to get multiple souls for a single enemy (unless maybe instead of souls they were soul fragments or something) so I think castle battles should yield fairly large quantities of souls from the soldiers that get killed. I also don't think any skills should take multiple level ups to get, especially since level-ups are still pretty slow, and I wish the bonus skill points you can buy with souls told me how many points I would get. 5 points is enough for like 6 skills and it's pretty expensive for what you get. Other than that, interesting game.
As far as low levels using "high" level weapons with or without the stats, it is possible that they bought artifacts for the stats and then bought the weapons. If they don't have the stats for the weapon, they may have sold the artifacts they had. You only need the stats to buy the weapon, not to use it. They could also get a high level player to tourney for them, allowing them to win lots of cash without getting the exp to level up, remaining a low level while obtaining the cash/coins for artifacts and weapons. There seem to be quite a few hackers in the game, but don't assume everyone is hacking just because they have stuff they "shouldn't"have.
The top 50 decks are based on whatever decks the top 50 players had equipped when they stopped playing and the top 50 are generally farming gods. The only way to create variety would be to have the top 50 players change their decks...
kong can only give a game achievements if it has integrated kong's api, or something like that. If you want the exact answer I'd recommend a trip to the forums.
Level 1's may have rare weapons/creatures but they have almost every element in their deck and don't have many creatures therefore they don't actually play very much.
