If you are stuck Hold B to return to Village, its fine to leave a stage because you can come back and continue on the same stage later don't be afraid to go back and save,you can also choose to Re-enter from stage 1-1 or 2-1 depending on the door,i had to grind some more to be able to kill the Ice Boss.
