A lot of people want checkpoints, by I think the game is better without them. Think about it, the best parts of this game were where you are down to one shield, you are getting swarmed by enemies, and you've almost made it to the boss. The tension you get from being one mistake away from losing everything you've done in that level gives this game its gritty, hardcore feel.
Great job yet again, BeserkStudio.
Amazing game! The only suggestion I would make (which Ikerocker already said) is to have hotkeys for the skills, rather than have us cycle through them all. Other than that, perfect. I especially loved all the counter attack animations. It made my day every time the screen went white and I pummeled some poor ninja into pieces.
I think it should be pointed out that it is possible to tap x too quickly for the game to register. Other than that, this game is flawless. Nice job Frozenf1r3.
The most creative spin on a launcher game that I've seen in a long time. You made an amazing game in a genre that had an unbelievable amount of crap in it (*cough* Angry Birds *cough*). I tip my hat to you, Erik.
Hark, good sir, no longer must you fear the vile, wretched undead apocalypse, for my firearm doth unleash the wrath of aquatic life! Nerdook, I know I sound like a broken record, but once again, amazing, astounding job.
Okay, i finally figured out how to finish off floored enemies. You have to jump and then hold in the attack key. The problem I was having (and I bet other people are having) is that if you aren't standing over the person you are finishing off before you jump, the attack changes to a normal jump attack and wont work unless you time pressing the attack key right before you land. In other words, you just can't stand too far away from the floored enemy when you try to finish them.
Nice step up from the last achilles game. I'm very impressed with this, especially the flooring and finishing off of floored enemies. My one complaint is that finishing off floored enemies is either glitchy or very difficult to time. Other than that, wonderful game!
So, what have we learned? 1: Birds can fly in space; 2: A normal party balloon can still float while carrying several very heavy mines; 3: Sheep, even though they lack fingers, can build aircraft... out of materials that cannot be used to build aircraft; 4: Wild sheep live near lava flows. And people say playing too many video games can make you less intelligent? Sheesh...
Yeah, the game would be crap without the context, but then again, you made it in a measly 12 hours, and there IS context, so it's pretty good. I got a good laugh in as well. @sonicdude1000: Take the title of the game and google it. It explains everything. (Wikipedia works wonders, too.)
Well... shit... that was sad. Not only does you character kill his wife and many other to cover up the fact that he killed his wife, but in the end you either kill yourself or get arrested and put in jail for life (or get sentenced to death, if it's Texas). I tried to grab the shotgun and attack the cops, but that didn't provide a different ending (though it would have ended up the same as shooting yourself, now wouldn't it?) Personally, this game can be used to judge the player's character to a certain degree, simply by looking at whether you killed yourself the first time you played through or if you gave up (or you can be an idiot like me and try to look for a way to escape for a minute, then charge at the cops with a shotgun in order to meet certain demise).
Amazing game. I loved the story line, the graphics, the playability, the puzzles, the combat, everything. I was even running around to find the little fun facts, and they didn't even affect the game. 5/5. I couldn't think of a way to improve the game even if I tried.
just press jump, no direction! then its easy. Lots of people being fooled by this, but im not sure how to make it clearer
