1.Like getting up the gold reward for goals faster at the later stages to something arround 15-20 k maybe?
2. Slave prices are way to high, like many guys already mentioned, but why would you need more then 3 anyway.
3. Gaining more valuable loot or selling it generally for a higher price could really help, too.
4. Probably increasing the xp gain from stronger opponents.
5. I like the idea of a multiplayer mode, probably there could be something like gladiator schools with arround 2 dozens members and a ranking system between the schools and gladiator teams themselves :) ( Yeah I know its probably a lot to program)
6. Last point: Dont try to press money too hard...it really cuts down the fun of the game and the overall count of players in your community will decrease rapidly if people can buy heavy advantages with real money, wich cant be in your interest at all. At least thats my opinion ;).
First of all, I think this a good game concept and the actual game is fun, too. Adding this annoying payment option to the most new games is really a waste.
Bug Report: When you use the "protect" skill to guard your teammate and your gladiator dies in the process, the opposing gladiators will sometimes start focusing attacks on him anyway after getting arms/legs from your other gladiators.
Improvement suggestion:
I had to refight from time to time and the game isnt so easy you can just go in without any strategy, but you can keep a pretty good pace, wich is good. Until Rome. Starting from Alexandria you cant keep up with the levels of the other gladiators, wich adds up to a 15- 20 lvl difference until Rome. The money you need for your items grows freakin fast at this point, too, so Im finally stuck really hard and there is no way making it without a tremendous amount of luck or farming. I think at this point, there are some balance adjustments needed.
