This is a great game and a great concept. My only problem with it is the rearranging section. And while I understand that it's difficult to allow players to completely create their own pieces, that's exactly what's needed, since the song is naturally constrained by the pieces that you're given. If you wanted to truly rearrange the piece, you'd be changing the structure and the tones, but with the limited number of pieces and sounds you have access to, it's nearly impossible to truly rearrange a song.
It's kind of annoying that my energy costs rise after i finish building reactors, even though those are all i build. i'm on the level with the pressurized chamber, and no matter how many reactors i build, i'm always have an energy deficit...
Also, the Frozen Death weapon isn't as good as it's chalked up to be. Could you increase the strength of a missile or increase the homing abilities of each missile? A single static field deflects 4-5 shots, which is pretty lethal.
I love both games in the Raze series, but they both have the same problem. And that's major AI imbalances. If I can't beat a level in the Alien Campaign simply because my allies are going 0-11, then the campaign isn't really a game of skill anymore. You just have to keep playing until your AIs get lucky enough to die less, and you have that good game where you get a few more kills than usual. I love the style of the games, but I just wish that it was a little less frustrating. 4/5
The dodge ratio ought to be increased for the player's monster or decreased for the opposing monster. Having 4 4-energy attacks miss in a row is a guaranteed way to make you lose, and that's not an uncommon occurrence.
After playing the track for a while, the percussion seems a little out of sync. It could just be me, but I feel like it's pushing the tempo too much.
Otherwise, a really creative game. I'm pretty sure I saw this on tumblr first, but nbd. =P
I'll give this game a 3.5/5 for sheer animation skills alone. Although I don't mean to bash, I also don't want to hide the truth. I expected a more interactive game, and as previous players have stated, it wasn't really involving. It did, however, have a nice story with a touching moral. I guess you could say my rating is more of a "mis-post" rating, since your work is of such high quality. Overall, its well done. Keep up the good work.
I like the concept of the game, but there are too many glitches to enjoy the game to its fullest extent. It's frustrating when more than half your falls can be traced back to a glitch.
I agree with geela. It does seem reasonable that the controls should fit you before you attempt to challenge somebody. However, I must say, after playing the first few levels, it's somewhat easy. My tactic is to avoid the bullets while just pressing "w" to target. If you're targeting and moving, chances are you'll hit the target often. So, give the game a chance. It IS very well made, after all.

This has got to be one of the funniest games.
Ever.
The upgrades are creative and remarkably different in style, and though you "upgrade", it's really fun to play in 8-bit and retro styles. I agree with Soulshadow that sjnce the focus was on the upgrading, it was more fun, because there's such a low risk, and everybody loves an upgrade... Or fifty. =D
Those red guys are crazy...
Lessen the speed and armor/health. This game is nearly impossible.
My self-esteem dropped since I couldn't beat level 1, haha...
