@Callack: There is a thing called "Travel" In your buffs, that determines wheather you get healed or not, aswell as chances of finding good or bad things on the road, i hope tis awnsered @gtsimpon's question.

Berserker hits you, scraping your armor, next thing you know an assassin throws a knife back at you and takes off your armor, then suddenly, a mage hits you with a stick, knocking you unconscious! After 5 seconds you regain consciousness and teleport to the front of the camp and start running immediately. BTW soulette gets around really fast...
