Connecting...connectiiiiiing....nothing ever happens, okay, I'm bored.

It's probably just the computer I'm on, but, as soon as i start off the game, I buy some stuff from the shopkeeper, and go to head down the stairs, but the game messes up. You just hear the sound for going down the stairs over and over again, and the screen flashes brown, over and over again..... :/
