What you have here is cool, you just don't have alot. There needs to be some different enemies, power ups, stages etc. If feels like a beta. A fun beta though.
3/5 Pretty basic shooter, but also pretty polished. Really enjoyable but the restarting level after you die aspect tends to be irritating, as the levels just aren't interesting enough to really make you want to play them over and over again. Fun though!
It're pretty polished and there's lots of cool ideas here, but their needs to be way more variety. Even different levels would be a good idea, more of a side-scrolling beat 'em up. As it stands now the game is too repetitive for extended play.
It needs alot of work. For one thing, its too easy to simply ends a race, the nuke power up is way to strong. Not to mention that it seems far to difficult for either you or your opponent to catch up to each other. Once one guy pulls ahead thats pretty much it.
And along those lines whats the deal with you getting a head start over your opponent?
I have to agree, I'm just not a fan of this game. The pace is far too slow and combat is too loose for a game that requires exact targeting. The controls themselves are unwieldy and need to refined. Using D and S to select and use your power ups seems unnecessary. It's also difficult to keep track of how much damage is being done to your base.
Even with the promise of a challenge card, I'm not particularly compelled to keep playing.
I like the Sonic vibe you have going on in the second part, and the snail was a cool touch, that demands a puzzle or two. The only thing I didn't like was the platforming jumping in the first half. A little too much of it, it made the level design feel too loose. Looking forward to the full version. :)
Brilliant game. Wonderful flash sized Smash Brothers clone. Control needs to be tightened up a bit but other than that one of the most fun games on Kongregate.
