Well if I knew I would be fighting Chuck Norris with a beer bottle at the end, I probably wouldn't have gone on the mission.

It's a good start. Obviously this isn't a best seller, but by your own comment, it's not meant to be. Some things to watch out for are details, such as making sure that lines of enemies don't overlap one another, and maybe adjusting the difficulty curve. In addition, consider making an option for the user to choose between the spacebar and the left mouse button, because in the way it's set up now, my hand feels somewhat cramped. Otherwise, not a bad game for a beginning developer.

When you have three microbes, link them into a triangle. They seem to grow faster this way.
