Stop complaining about the fact that there's some premium content! This is exactly how premium content should be executed, stuff that's fun to use in the game but not critical to enjoy it overall.
You can also interpret this a comment on people who become so wrapped up in the pains of day-to-day life that they never reach for the "gold" that was right there all along. When asked why they turned their life into a trail of missed opportunities, they simply look back and ask "what opportunities?" The character symbolizes the defeatist attitude of someone who will never create or achieve anything.
watch the letters (hints, level name, whatever you call them) scramble as the screen cracks during the second ending. The very last thing they spell before the screen "breaks" is "poetic end"
Good attempt, but a platformer lives or dies based on its control system and 'feel.' Frankly, the controls here just don't measure up. Next time build a solid control base and build from there, otherwise players aren't going to stick around long enough to enjoy all the work put into other aspects
The shores really are "American". The land is "the Americas", it doesn't refer to the United States of America (which btw inherits its name from, again, the land itself)
