OMG I wrote a chat client and server, something that kong already has, anyone would think I planned to host this game on sites that are not kong.

Go play mad planets ( or crazy comets / mega apocalypse ) , then come back and try again. I suspect they are what you are trying to make and I also suspect that you have never played them. Or if you have, it's not showing in the game play...
So you really think that someone who makes the game, creates the code, the music, the artwork, everything. Has no right to include adverts. Yet someone who just hosts other peoples work not only deserves all the money in the world for doing so but that the creator should be thankful that they do it.

I'm attempting to do a little bit more than the average flash game and that requires a reasonable server. The costs are small but they are still costs.
Bandwidth is not much of a problem. It is of course payed for by adverts when hosted on external sites and these people do of course make money off of mine and other peoples hard work.
But thats all right isn't it?

I'm sorry for the adverts, really, I am, it is unfortunate that such things are necessary. You may notice that this website, which you are currently using, also displays adverts. Thank you very much for the double standards and congratulations on focusing you hate away from places like ebaums (to pick a widely known leach) who really really deserve it and onto hard working game developers who have done nothing more than create actual content.
The adverts in the game are currently just about recovering the server costs of publishing it (notice that I did not say the costs of creating) and we will be losing money again shortly.
