Helpful hint for everyone who keeps missing which button rotates which way: The button you push is the direction you fall. Just think about where you want to be standing, and use the key that points in that direction.
Dunno if this is a common glitch or what, but occasionally my x-axis will invert on its own, and then change back to default an indeterminable time later. One of the very few issues I've had with this game. It's got a certain je ne sais quoi that makes it pretty fun to play. The soundtrack doesn't hurt, either. Doing other stuff in my browser while a game runs in the background has never been more entertaining. I love it. ^^
My only complaint is the missile targeting system. IMO, priority 1 should go to the little purple f***ers, but the AA missiles would fly through a cloud of five of them to target one of the duck dropping blimps. Or just sit there turning circles around a kamikaze plane.
NVM, I think I figured it out. it's lag. Same reason bullets (mine) can hurt enemies through walls (sometimes) and why the enemies don't take damage when I shoot them (sometimes).
Being able to Jump the instant you hit the ground would be really nice. So many times I have died because I hit the ground and was partially offscreen but not yet dead and was frantically mashing the "W" key, thinking: "WHY WON'T YOU JUMP?!?"
Other than that, I really enjoyed playing the game. The graphics were wonderful, really smooth, the city lights/fire and the fog/smoke set the atmosphere quite nicely. I have to agree with icelord646, however, the intro could do with a "next" in addition to the "skip" option. The upgrades were nice, and I disagree with most on the usefulness of the Anti-Missile Turret. Just get the Penetrating Bullets, and it gets 20x more useful. Upgrade the upgrades though. Maybe you can pick a new tree to unlock every couple of levels, but get exp for killing enemies so that you can level up, and each level gives you points, etc., etc., etc. Wonderful game, I look forward to a sequel if there will ever be one. 4/5.
The generals were a nice touch, but as I mentioned earlier adding in a variety of enemies would make things more interesting as well as challenging. One last thing. The Heavy Drones by themselves are really tedious. Not really challenging, since you can just round them all up into a ball by flying in circles around them, and then open up with the Heavy Cannon. This takes time, however, and gets old. I suggest, once again, adding in some other enemies and never having just wave after wave of Heavy Drones. The Hunters and/or Missile Ships would be a nice addition, having to dodge missiles while trying to maintain that little rodeo in the middle.
I think that instead of having a heavy force (i.e. one or two destroyers/ 8-10 missile ships) supported by seemingly hundreds of drones and nothing else, the drones should be a mix of heavy and regular drones, and you should mix in a few hunters/stealth hunters as well. I also noticed that in most of the levels there were areas where a set of 3 drones would spawn 3-4 seconds or so apart, leaving me plenty of time to blow them away with quite a bit of waiting for the next set of 3. I like having some time to let my weapons recharge, but it gets a little boring plinking away at a meager force while waiting for the next wave. Maybe have short breaks where there's no enemies, but your shields and weapons recharge to full. Just a thought.
Absoluetly STELLAR game! I definitely liked the different areas of the head producing different effects. Really looking forward to Anaksha 2. Awesome storyline, maybe a bit more background in the second one, where she's from, etc. But all-in-all a fantasic game. Definietly my favorite sniper game.
