I wonder how big this planet is... My last army before resetting was about 2/3 the population of the world.
Also, in response to the army power cap being 1.5x, since you can't conscience 1 guy taking over a country with 350 million soldiers, I have two words: Giant Robots! Little known fact: A significant fraction of Dark Knights are actually scientists and engineers, and they eventually build everyone in your army a huge, physics-breaking mecha-suit. Because magic enables technology to be silly!
Quite! I'm actually using things I learned in classes! Nifty. I've 2 additional questions, if you'd be so kind as to answer: What is the formula for cost growth of attacking countries? I can see a pattern (after the first 2 countries) but haven't figured it out yet. Also, the formula you linked to in my previous question about attack damage is for damage, yes? So damage goes up with each country, and scales, on average and in the limit, with 1/2 of DK's, right?
The cost to attack a country? That one's probably impossible to explain. It takes the total enemy troops and multiplies it by 1000. Since I took off the display of total troops an enemy has it'd be kinda irritating to figure it out now as you'd have to attack a country first to see it. If you were talking about the gains from countries. It uses their base values ( http://puu.sh/cSXkM/790855158d.png ) see screenshot. It takes total dark knights / 11,500,000 to get the multiplier then all the base values of the countries are multiplied by this multiplier. However I use some code to mess with the math so that if the multiplier is < 1, it will add +1 to it this makes it so you can see gains without needing > 11,500,000 dark knights first. https://pastebin.com/x3vjT7cm You can see this pastebin, I just printed out all the troop counts of the countries for you. ~Taiga
The calculations are essentially an algebraic formula. I'll give it to you but whether you can understand it I dunno :P https://pastebin.com/6d1kcqLP check this pastebin link out.
Minor request: Could the Kingdom screen be given a tab instead of only being accessible from the Economy screen? Not huge, but minorly irritating to need the extra click. Thanks!
The kingdom screen claims on the conquest subsection that I only gain gold and troops from other countries AFTER I conquer them? What is this madness!?! This is an outrage! I demand that they start paying me tribute in anticipation of their inevitable incorporation into the Grandest Kingdom of Touria!
Guys, what would you rather have: A "Wall" where everything takes several days / resets to progress to the next single upgrade or achievement, or a setup in which you've purchased everything there is to buy, and you're just farming angels? They had a choice about how to set the game up until the next update. The choice they made was to have content that's far away, rather than content that's all close. So after a week, you have some content to reach as opposed to no content to reach. Even while thinking that the curve may be slightly too harsh, I agree with the fundamental design behind the implementation: Better something than nothing. Otherwise you're just going super fast for a few days, then super slow thereafter, accumulating exponentially decaying numbers or angels and resetting. Which is more boring.
There appear to be two triggers for lag: Any time before you've build the fourth building (nanobot builder? Top mid column) and after that, after getting a milestone achievement of some kind, when buy 10x or 100x is selected. If you reload the browser window after getting the milestone, the lag goes away again until you get another.
Suggestion to keep the upgrades / multipliers relevant in the later game: Don't make them multiply DK gains, make DK's change their value. So if you have enough DK's to increase everything's multiplier by n, have the upgrade multiplier increase by n/m, or something like that. Hopefully that would strike a balance between making them useless and OP.
Who is this "fufu" she keeps referring to, hmm? Some might call it a harmless linguistic habit, with no more imputation of iniquitous occupation than could be drawn by implication from any other articulation. But some suspect a source more sinister, a soothsaying apparition singing saccharine prognostication of ceaseless subjugation to our object of admiration, the guileless Catherine von Conqueror the fourth.
We will be having an export feature soon don't worry! As for offline gains, they are intentionally slower than online gains. It's just a game mechanic choice we've made. However the gains are not THAT much slower, but you do get a lot more while online. ~Taiga
