This one is just simply too annoying to play. At random times all control just stops working. At other times acceleration works but steering and/or space stops working. With the live npc ignoring the horn and randomly running into the back of my vehicle it's just frustrating to play. These aren't even lag issues. I honestly have not seen any lag. I liked part 1 but this one is just buggy.
drvn2conquer you are correct my math logic was incorrect. 54/160 would be the equivalent of 4 super towers. I haven't worked out the percentage but as you go up in upgrade levels the difference becomes greater. The only benefit up upgrading is when you run out of strategic area to put a new tower.
To those who disagree about upgrading being a waste unless you are running out of room let me offer a little math. My tower prices is upgraded to 9 and dmg is upgraded to 8. I am only using super tower in this example but the others apply as well. It is really very simple math. Cost of a super tower = $825, and that yields 27 dmg at 80 speed, (27/80). Cost to upgrade -$1375, yields +27/+10. Just make a new one. With a new one at less cost you are getting another tower pumping out another hit. It is as if the upgrade costs $825 again and yields 27/80. Looking at cost for end result again for 1 tower upgraded once(a) versus 2 towers(b). A= $2200, yields 54/90. B=$1650, yields 2(27/80) or 54/160.
I have tried both ways, with equal dollars spent I always come out on top with putting out as many supers as possible and only upgrading when I run out of useful room.
I like this one a lot better. In the first one you reached a point where things became trivial and never got hard again. In this one you are continually redoing the levels to boost your score just a little bit more so you can advance. Respec'ing to get particular levels is also useful. The first one got the concept down and this one expanded on it. Very nice.
