Please bring back the horizontal flying! When Learn to Fly 3 came out I was like, "yay!" but then I found out it was vertical and laggy and...just please bring it back :(
I don't know much about future updates, but I have a few suggestions. First of all, there's not TOO many equipment items to not make animations for some of them. Basically, I'm saying, when you put an equipment item on, it also appears on your character. Second of all, we should be able to have a choice of having a female or male character. These are only a few suggestions.
If you're having trouble fighting Oskar with Felicia, here's a strategy that proved to be extremely helpful: Heal over and over. When your health is full/when you get a second turn, check if you have 50 stress. If you do, use Penta Slash. If not, do either guard or a regular attack.
Therefore, this game creates an uneasy or strange feeling the main character can't quite put a finger on, while being put in a weird or absurd world where nothing really makes sense. Dig a little deeper into this subject, and you find that "[Søren Kierkegaard] proposed that each individual—not society or religion—is solely responsible for giving meaning to life and living it passionately and sincerely, or 'authentically.'" This relates to the feeling of control, and even if "The Walls" try to tell you to do something, according to Existentialism, you're in control of living your life "passionately, sincerely, and 'authentically'". An extra to consider: Jonas Kyratzes, the developer of this game, is German, and considering the philosophers who created Existentialism were German, it all kinda lines up. The Infinite Ocean (created 2003 with a 2010 remake) deals with the concept of Existentialism, centered on a sentient computer." Fun Fact: This game was his second game ever made!!
I did some research on the background of the game, and apparently, it has to do with Existentialism. According to Wikipedia (which I checked the history to make sure there weren't any false claims), "Existentialism is a term applied to the work of certain late-19th- and 20th-century European philosophers who, despite profound doctrinal differences, shared the belief that philosophical thinking begins with the human subject—not merely the thinking subject, but the acting, feeling, living human individual...In the view of the existentialist, the individual's starting point is characterized by what has been called "the existential attitude", or a sense of disorientation and confusion in the face of an apparently meaningless or absurd world. Many existentialists have also regarded traditional systematic or academic philosophies, in both style and content, as too abstract and remote from concrete human experience."
I loved the game Home - played it 17 times - and since you made this other game, I'm so happy! Thank you so much! Great follow-up. Don't know if I'd call it a sequel though.
Thank you for making this game. It shows how "freedom" isn't freedom. It shows how "power" isn't power. It shows how you should be able to express yourself and not have your beautiful paintings censored. No one likes to see that stuff. Thank you. And, since the message at the end showed up, I believe this game really was powerful.
Unlike most combat-strategy games, this one has armor that actually APPEARS differently on your character depending on what it looks like. I really like visible gear!! 5/5!
IN respondance to your question, Mmlh, they put the best one on ArmorGames.com, of coure, but if you ask me, I'd say Physiological the best - Destruction, Salvation, Tenacity, Dark Echoes, Betrayal, Terrify, Nerve Shock, Free Will, Traumatize...oh, and there's also Overdrive, Epiphany, Psychopath Form, Haunt & Sacrifice, Nightmare & Ultimatum, and my personal favourite, Corruption.
*reaches top of cliff* I made it! *falls off all the way back down* OHMERFAKINGAWD *throws down computer and breaks it with hammer* RAAAAAGE QUIIIIIIIT
Everyone who came to get the badge is MISSING OUT!!! I MEAN CMON! This is obviously the best game ever. If you came BEFORE the badge came, you would have thought so too!
Please add a zoom mechanism which you can move the screen with! I don't like the fact that I have to right-click in order to zoom in and zoom out, then I have to zoom out to move around the screen. + if you agree!
It's really not cool indeed, we're working on that for the sequel :)
