Mirage Missile might be a little too broken when fighting Region bosses since it stacks, and the stacks stay on the boss. After awhile the poison was doing 208 damage a pop.
The game is actually quite good, but I think that it could be improved by a couple of simple things. First... Please add a minimap. It was almost hellish trying to find my way back to the stairs after clearing out a level of the dungeon. Second, the AI needs improving. Sometimes I would be fighting a pack of monsters, and suddenly my entire little army would just up and leave. No idea where they go, they just walk off the screen and disappear only to reappear a little later. Third, the hotkeys should be a bit more convenient, 1,2,3,4 should be for potions because you will be using these more then the skills. Fourth, why can I taunt, but my allies can't? I die, game over, they die? Not so much. Fifth, better judgement on when to drop items for your allies, because I think they just pick up whatever I drop, and replace it from the better things I gave them, or they will pick up one thing that has like 1+ attack, but doesn't have the effect. Other then those, good game.
After you find the exit, the "exit" button lights up. To leave that level later, just click the button and everyone goes there automatically! You can zoom out using mouse wheel or the - key to see more of the map, and if you click anywhere in the map your party will go there. Point taken about parts of the AI though, it got pretty complex and there may be some weird conditions that make it behave badly.
This is a good game, but it's missing the elements that could have made it a great game. First and foremost, it's a bit slow, even at the lowest quality the game felt sluggish, and as the screen is swarmed with more and more soldiers, it gets bad. I also think that the game has a lot of potential, but wasted it. There could have been so much more, like static defenses, traps, more units, more buffs/debuffs, flying units, alternate skill tree routes like do you wanna be a turret and trap guy, or the guy that uses all his points to get nothing but his spells to rain hell upon the paladins? Some other things would be nice to have like small lore snippets on what the units are. Why are some of the bowmen blue? What exactly are Dark Acolytes, that sort of thing... All in all it's a good game, but a bit lackluster.
I will admit, I had quite a lot of fun mowing down the hoard of zombies at the last few points in the map before the ending with my SAW. I almost felt like the poor black Fedora I had since the beginning of the game was finally gonna fall off, but nope. Nothing can't touch the Fedora.
Royal Jelly is a special honey that's fed to the Queen bee in a hive. It's made specifically to help her continue to birth children. Just thought I'd let ya know.
A Vietnam vet walkin' down the street in some golf cleats, and a shark suit, takin zombies out left and right with his trusty double barrel. Your damn right I'm gonna five star this game.
you gotta take the good with the bad, bro
