So, after all the struggle, all the grinding, and all the time spent playing this game, what awaits at the 10k meter mark? A PvZ reference. *slow clap* *slow clap* *slow clap* Congratulations, Toge, you took your beloved "Infectonator" franchise (one of my favorites on this website) and reduced it to a mostly luck-based game with tedious grinding and poor controls.

While the environment is beautiful to look at, The Everloom doesn't offer much more. The simple gameplay was expected and welcomed, but the poor dialogue was not. It is not interesting to hear these characters talk, perhaps with the exception of the Ice Cream Man and von Wealthson due to their accents. The rest are either forgettable or only speak exposition. The music is atmospheric, but since its the only song in the game it wears out by the 1/2-way mark. This game, unfortunately, falls under the weight of its own story. A longer game with more fresh out characters would have greatly improved the experience. 3/5.

Simple and fun, yet it commits the same mistake that most 8-bit-nostalgia games commit: a small difficulty curve. While challenging at first, once I got the hang of the game and discovered that Ice + bomb + Special = Victory, I expected the game's challenge to increase at a fast but constant pace (given the length of the game) but it never did. However, for what it was, it was still enjoyable. 3/5 P.S: The soundtrack was really nice!

A few months ago, while this game was still in Beta, I wrote all my complains with the game in the hopes that when the dev publish the game, the overall experience would be satisfactory. Instead, I get none of my original complains addressed, and the final product is just unbearable: He extended the duration of the levels while still suffering from monotonous gameplay, repetitively lame music, broken shop commands and, worst of all, the whole thing is merely a TEASE to promote the tablet version. There was no need for this to have a BETA if player feedback was not going to be listen to in the first place! 1/5.

It took me a few days to finish Questopia. I played it on all difficulty levels; thought the only differences are rate of spawn of items, longer life-bar of enemies, and a different ending on each one. I played it with all the races, although there is no real difference between them, except for the looks; music was good and it change whenever you enter a battle or change stages (not levels though) . Gameplay is good, but not challenging enough up to the final boss. The endings are apparently not connected to one another and they some explanation as to why are they different to make sense. Which is rather sad, because the intro of the game is just about perfect: it gives personality traits of the protagonist and raises our interest in what the game is going to be about. In the end, Questopia left me wanting more because the overall experience was just lacking but, on a personal note, I never found myself bored while playing it. 4/5

I'm sorry. In American Racing 1, I blamed all problems on lack of handling upgrades; now that I have played AR2, with the handling fixed, I know the real culprit of the failure of AR1: the minigames. Not only do they break the pace of the game, but later on some become luck-base (one of the cardinal sins of gaming). The reason minigames worked on games like Cyclomaniacs is that the speed never hindered the execution of the minigame: you never misjudge the distance between you and your target. While AR2 is an improvement over the first AR, it still needs a lot of work to look competent in the eyes of other racing games. 2/5

This game is tense, probably one of the few tense, yet not frustrating, games I've played so far this year. Normal mode - like most Normal modes - is too easy to be rewarding. Hard mode on the other hand, is a very challenging and fulfilling experience. The game is not without flaws: in Normal mode, the first 8 levels (out of 24) are so simple, they are borderline condescending; and that love story at the end came out of nowhere and was ultimately unnecessary. The game is very enjoyable (especially hard mode), but the learning curve took a while to take off, and the ending...why? 4/5 Also, level editor is great although, as with many map editors, is as sophisticated as the people who use it. So...good luck with that.

1. I think the title they were going was "Naruto hits Kongregate" 2. After reading the dialogue with Rock Lee, I realized I was playing fan fiction; the bad kind of fan fiction were the creator doesn't care about common sense or continuity as long as their favorite character(s) looks cool. 3. Ichigo only appears in versus mode, and has a 1-hit-kill special (so versus it's totally broken). 4. Gameplay is so discombobulated the game becomes a "Who can button mash harder" contest and makes any attempts to use strategy meaningless. 5. If you give a damn about fighting games, Naruto, or common sense, please skip this game.

As with other puzzle games I've encountered, I was expecting to not get challenge at all in the first half and see a huge increase in difficulty curve after it. I was not disappointed, for the most part. Despite the increase, some of the riddles were far easier than the ones in the room before and this happened several times, so it ended up being a hit-or-miss in the difficulty department. Music on this game was elevator music: there for mood-setting only, otherwise unnoticeable. The last riddle will be challenging for newcomers in the puzzle game department and the last dialogue was clever and gave me a laugh. It ends up being a very average puzzle game, but no harm comes from it...unless you have a very sensible pride. 3/5.

Overall a good game. Like Infectonator, the game consist of being the detonating event that leads to the utter chaos seen all around the screen. The key of these games is to make the detonation challenging to place correctly and the chaos entertaining; and on that regard, it succeeds. The upgrades, however, needed some tweaks: the paratroopah upgrade unfortunately increased the difficulty (the opposite effect of what an upgrade should do) until the rumpy roast upgrade was purchased, and there was plenty of grinding to do in order to get that upgrade. Boss fights were ok and the recharge bar was a neat addition. And yet, I can't shake off the feeling that this game is playing it safe, although it's still a enjoyable experience. 4/5.

Gameplay is self-explanatory. The story, therefore, deserves a closer look. The main character, Detective, gets sucked into a colorful world, a contrast to the grey one he lives in, because...the grey lady says that she's seen the future and saw that he could help, so that explanation will suffice. I noticed however, that certain parts, like the friendship between the Detective and the adventurer, are skipable. I didn't talk to him at first and when he showed up, it left me confused. The game is aware of its contrivances and gives an ending with closure, though I personally felt the message would have had more power if it all remained a dream rather than an event. The world deserves praise, characters backstories are well explained, the sountrack sets up the mood and atmosphere perfectly, and the drawing style is suited for this kind of story. I wish to go on, but Kong doesn’t allow lengthy comments… I enjoyed this game. Not enough to make it to my fav., but enough to give it a 5/5.

The flail, while fun, is too OP. I never saw the necessity to use the crossbow. Maybe reducing movement speed a bit while using it would make it more balanced. Also, the click and drag mechanic of the shop doesn't work, I had to use the mouse wheel to move it. There is no variety in the map design either; and I'm aware we are only allowed access to a single area in this beta, but the map looked the same in all 5 stages. Also, annotations for the different bonuses obtained would be a nice addition instead of having to go to the menu to read about them. The music also gets repetitive after a while. Good thing this is a beta and improvement is still possible.

As shown by the top comments, the game is very easy to exploit; but is short and fun. The biggest achievement that this game has is that there is tension as the enemies keep coming towards your base, which is something that most defense/upgrade games lack; and it deserves praise for it. 4/5.

Not since Shadow Snake 3 I've been so frustrated with a flash game. And I like the previous HoW games. Now, instead of exploiting a single move to take down multiple enemies, we can sit back and relax while the party –after being obtained- takes the hits for you. Heck, they’ll even take the potions for you, so stack ‘em up and enjoy. The game is so glitchy I’ve got stuck on a building over 10 times throughout my play-through. And don’t even get me started on the final boss. God, the framerate drop was unbearable. A fight that prob lasted 10-15 min in-game-time, lasted for 90 min in real timeThe story and gameplay are nothing new besides the addition of a party system. You are a hero, find stones which you can equip on you once you get them and you take sides on the different factions. You know, the same as the previous games. To the game’s credit, it’s at least playable. 2/5.

Despite a great first impression (atmospheric music, sense of claustrophobia and a great initial jump-scare), the game looses its horror factor quickly after you learn to spot the ghosts thought the light they emit and the ever-pleasant discovery of the power pellets. Afterwards, I look forward to find the ghosts for a higher score. Not being scare in a horror game after the first 10 minutes means something has gone wrong; which is rather sad since this is such a good concept, but the longer I played the game, the more I noticed these flaws. I think the fact that the Hard badge makes you play the game continuously may have had something to do with it.

Since everything good that I can say about this game has been said by everyone, I want to point out a few things that bugged me about the game: we are never explained why Matt, Nat, or Lance have to start from 0 again (I understand why Anna has to being the new character and all) and the final fight ends in a bit of an anticlimax. The game needed a bit more of context like EBF3 had. Despite this minor inconveniences, EBF4 is still one of the best games in Kong and the amounts of fun in it were worth the wait. Kudos for the well placed references as well.

This game was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. The upgrade system not passing from temple to temple and increasing its cost to unfair levels in later temples makes the game feel padded. I spent over 3 and a half hours trying to beat a game that could have been finished in 1. While I appreciate that the dev fix some of the problems; it doesn't change the fact that the end product becomes a chore rather than fun by the time you reach the final boss.

While the gameplay, strategy, and the party and upgrade system are WAY better than the original, I can't give the game a 5/5 for a simple reason: there is no challenge to it. I died once in the entire playthrough (twice in another where i chose to be a necromancer) during the early stages. Having your ass kick by the AI makes us think about different strategies to engage our enemies, which makes it an important part of an RPG. However, this -and its relative shortness when the R key is used- are the only severe flaws with the game. It excels in everything else. 4/5
