This should not have been a hard badge ;) The whole difficulty for most levels is finding the starting solution and then follow the cascade. Consider that when you have two slots that end with 3, the only possible outcomes are 1/2 or 2/1, and if you have two slots that end with 5, the only possible outcomes are 2/3 or 3/2 (so for example, when these two sit side by side - which they often do - you know where the 2 has to be. This has multiple uses this way). By using just this simple principle + finding that one line that has just one possible outcome you will breeze through most hard levels easily. The very, very few levels that are left you might as well brute force, just find that one spot that has only two possible outcomes and if one does not work, restart and do the other.
The game is actually quite easy. Here's my strategy: I use stone, wind and water towers only. Build a stone tower at every entry, so that it covers only the beggining of the path. Build one stone tower near the exit. Cover the rest of the map with wind towers and water towers. Upgrade a stone tower near the beggining first (one where most enemies have to cross). Upgrade it to lvl 4 - multiple missiles tree. Upgrade the exit stone tower the same way. Upgrade a wind tower near the exit to lvl 4 - push. Upgrade a water tower near the exit to lvl 4 - freeze group. Upgrade the two stone towers to lvl 5 (5 missiles). Max out the rest. Tip - 2 maxed wind towers (push) and 1 maxed water tower (freeze) stop a single enemy completely. Use that against the strongest enemies to your advantage. Don't hesitate to use spells, they are very usefull, especially upgraded. My skills upgrade order: stone, wind, monk, water, earthquake, meteor, tornado, rain, fire.
The game is fantastic, although it lacks a bit tactical depth. All end-game maps are easily doable with the same tactic. Build a mage building in the best bottle-neck place available. Don't build anything else. Upgrade one mage to battle mage lvl 2 or preferably lvl 3 ASAP. Upgrade second mage to lvl 3 healer ASAP. Build archers building. Upgrade one unit to mortar lvl 2 or 3, then one unit to elfish bowman lvl 3. Upgrade your third mage to battle mage lvl 3. In the meantime use your character spells and pet to make sure nothing crosses. After that, build whatever you feel fancy to upgrade your firepower. On some maps you may need a footman or two, go for dwarves. On most maps you won't need them at all though. Works for all maps, got 5/5 stars everywhere.
I'm actually a bit disappointed. I loved the first part for it's great story and that moving, suffocating feeling of childish abandonment and false hope. The story in the second part tries to connect with that, but in my opinion fails to do that. It seems clear, the the autor did not know what to do with the story in the second part, except for the fact that it should include Father and Sister. Too bad... It's still a nice game, but not anything more like the first part.
I don't mind the fact, that this game is almost an exact copy of Crimsonland - with simmilar weapons, perks (and perk names), enemies... What does bug me, is that you did not give any credit to this wonderfull old game.
In any case, Mecharon is not bad, however it lacks the dynamics of Crimsonland. Also, the graphics are poor and make the game unclear. Otherwise, not a bad game.
@Yawner Hi there, it's usually considered as part of Oceania.
