surprisingly strategic for a match-three! Some slightly spoilery Advice for ppl that look for it: Every turn, first look how many attacks are possible. If attacks are possible, you either attack, or try setting up a counter and/or block if that pays off (e.g. if there will be 2 turns of attacks, block/counter thier attack, then use the second attack). If there are no possilble attacks, take hp/energy/rage fills; if there are no fills, let the time run out and give your enemy the more pointless move. But always check for 4+ maches, ofc.
ok, I've done some research and apparently the Unity Plugin isn't even a thing anymore in most browsers. You can play unity games without having the plugin now. Usally you can't even install the Plugin. I guess it's a general issue at kongregate that you can't rate old Unity games because they still check for the plugin.
I just wanted to give the episodes 1 to 3 my 5 stars, but I'm prevented from doing so. It says I need the Unity plugin installed to rate them. I assume this requirement is obsolete.
Because not everyone seems to get it: There is at least one real ending at the middle of the map. It's not a troll ending. Though I don't know if the hearts play a role here. I collected three, so maybe you don't get the ending if you got more or less than that.
the purple enimies tend to leave the screen at the right border and can't be lured back, so that you're stuck unless you suicide by holding shift. Also, I missed the instructions because I clicked before they popped up, throwing me into the game without instructions.
neat idea! Like the others said, needs flagging. Another small thing I noticed: When I won, it said 46 safe clickable cublets left and 46 total mines. You need to subtract either the mines or the word "safe".
Yeah, that's supposed to say 'clickable cubelets remaining' at all times, because that number includes the mines. Good catch. I'll update that immediately.
I'm working on another minesweeper variation, that one will have flags (it requires it) and I'll use what I learn by making that one to try and add flags here. There are some other features that could be added to this one, such as highlighting the cubelet your mouse is on. I might add some of those.
The advice (from extra credits) is to cut the non essentials for your first few games and focus on learning and getting something ready for publishing and feedback so I cut everything I could, including flagging. Because flagging wasn't intended to be in it, the code is not ready for it at all. It will take time to add it. Including the time it'll take me to make the other variant first, it could be months. Sorry.
How to get that impossible badge: 1. Use the dude with the shield. 2. There is one location where you can hit the enemy without being hit yourself: In midair. Most otherwise very difficult enemies can be defeated by repeatedly jumping in, landing a midair hit and then immediately backing out while blocking all attacks. 3. the remaining gladiators are the flailer, the sorcerer and the ranger, which are all easy to figure out.
The pink text on the black and white noise background is too hard to read. It's also goes away a bit too fast, I think. Otherwise, WHAT AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE... err I mean to say, nice game
Ok, now that I knew that I'm going anywhere I actually got the ending. There even are thin bars at the sides of your screen that tell you the progress. oh well, when will I learn to stop assuming such things, haha
nice! though there is this bug where pressing spacebar while having a conversation starts the conversation agan when talking to the tree guy or at the end scene. Also, if you click a pondering option for the tree guy, you are also throwing, which shouldn't happen. It would also be nice to be able to restart the game at the end without having to reload the page.
Hey, thanks for letting me know about those bugs! I plan to release an update soon, so I'll have a fix for that and add a pause/restart feature.
Thanks for playing :D
The games description asks "Can you win?". No, you can't win, the game goes on infinitely. But it's a nice little arcade platformer. Needs some kind of high scores.
Thanks a lot. Problems have been fixed.
