Does anyone else have a problem with flash constantly crashing when they play this? I've just checked and my flash is completely up to date so it's not a problem with that (and I don't get the problem on any other games anyway) so wondering if there is any way to fix this...? It seems like it would be a good game if only I could play for more than a minute at a time without it crashing.
I love this game, but I can't make a decent axe for the life of me. Is there actually any way to get the pieces in the right place? It seems impossible to me- they just tilt away.
Is anyone else finding that while holding shift to cast a spell multiple times, it goes really slowly? If I try to cast meteor several times, after the first one the curser will barely move, so I can't keep up with what I'm targetting. Just wondering if anyone else is getting this problem, because I don't remember it from the first time I played through this game.
It won't save past day 7, autosave or manual, and crashed when I tried to switch countries. Shame it won't save because I quite enjoy the game, but I'm not going to leave my computer on the browser running for hours just to avoid losing my save- especially when it might crash and lose it anyway.
I love this game, but I've just reached 4-3 and I see why everyone is complaining about it. I suppose I'll get past it eventually, but it does seem to be mostly luck.
Okay, I see everyone saying it's easy, but I don't get it... Using Peter Elf Green against Rose Magma Heart, I can send 20 top warriors to attack with the hermes spell, which everyone seems to be saying will work... but they just die. They seem really rubbish actually... why is everyone saying the elf warriors are overpowered?
Wow, this actually is even better than the first one! Definite 5/5- and one of the only games where I'm actually interested in watching the cutscenes. Normally I find them boring, but 'failbird.org' made me laugh :D
Ah, I'd forgotten how much I love this game. It's brilliant- so glad the Badge of the Day reminded me of it. It's been so long since I played it the first time that I'd actually forgotten the ending- had great fun playing it through and discovering it again, 5/5.
Okay, maybe I'm being stupid, but I can't find where you can see which in-game trophies you have. Also, is it just me, or are the badges not awarding? I just completed in hard mode, which I thought was supposed to get the innoculation badge, but nothing...
ninjakiller999- To get past the Cosmic Monolith the first time, I used the 'stunner' item to stop it actually having a turn at all, since it could wipe out all three of my characters in one go. The later ones seem to be stun resistant, but I definitely used stunners to get past the first one.
Took me a little while to get into it, but it was addictive once I got going. Loved the game in the end, although the speed the screen was going in the professional running training made me feel a bit ill to watch- had to look away in the end and just press up randomly. Still, that seemed to work okay, if not quite as fast as doing it properly!
Not that I'm complaining, but... I just got the 'win a battle with no more than two gems' amulet, and I was using more than two gems pretty much all the way through the battle. Still, great game, even if it does give you the odd free amulet!
explodingferret- the spiky looking element symbol is for energy.
For anyone trying to work out the element symbols, the tree is poison, the brown splodge (that may be a fist?) is physical, the squiggly/spiky one is energy like I said, and fire and cold are the more obvious ones, a flame for fire and snowflake for cold.
Ha, just as I come back to kongregate to replay Protector IV, I find this! Brilliant, the only problem I had with the old one was wanting more quests- looking forward to playing all the new ones now!
Nice game. I would have preferred it if it had automatically gone on to the next level, rather than returning to the main screen each time, but that's only a minor thing. Over all I enjoyed it :)
