I've gotten hard badges as easy as this easy badge.

The music is... amazing. I find myself NOT using turbo just to hear the music play out. Would love a midi or something.

Medium is a lie. Got it on my first try.

Took countless tries, but I finally got the badge. I've gotten hard badges easier than this one. The flashing lights attempting to trigger my mild epilepsy did not help.

Oh, also, it would be absolutely wonderful if the game awarded the player by giving the song track's name.

Floods of nostalgia. Though I hate when Final Fantasy VI (III) is called steampunk. No Final Fantasy game lacks fantasy elements, and those fantasy elements dominated VI as well, even though there was a strong steampunk setting. Come on, magic is steampunk now? lies. And the 8 dragons? lies. Espers, the warring triad, WAR OF THE MAGI!? Come on now. D:

Because of the game's flawed mechanics, the hard badge is significantly harder than hard.

5/5 and favorited. The gameplay is innovative and well executed. There are more than enough upgrades to keep you entertained through at least most of the game. The concept of using the throne for achievements is very neat. I also loved the references - the ones to Final Fantasy and The Lord of the Rings really interested me. However, there are some flaws. It would've been nice if the achievements gave you some kind of permanent boost. As well, Cleanse Warlocks are next to worthless. I went through almost all levels (and got all gold medals) and hardly used them. I also was able to use the same setup for almost every level. Despite this, the game was entertaining enough I was hardly phased - and all of those flaws could be fixed with an expansion, which I'd love to see.

Fun game overall. Graphics and design are very slick. It gets old hearing the same music track throughout the entire game, but it's decent. Gameplay and controls are great. The one complaint is the length of the last level. It was quite a journey just getting through it, only to get shot down by that boss.

The best part of this game is the humor. The ending made me really excited for part 2 - can't wait!

I hate hard badges like this that revolve entirely around luck or absolute skill. There needs to be upgrades or something - that way you know after hours of constantly LOSING you'll slowly be gaining an edge to get the badge eventually. Difficult badges that require absolute luck or great amounts of skill at a game you may suck at are indeed bulls**t. And I don't give a crap about the thumb downs I'm going to get for saying it.

There are some slight annoyances, but overall I still give this 5/5. The music is wonderful and truly represents the setting and emotion of the game, and the plot is absolutely brilliant. This is one of the few Kongregate games I really want to see more of.

Penguin Overlords

Indeed, this game has quite a few flaws - none greater than the absolute MORONIC penguin AI that has them constantly stuck behind obstacles. However, I still give it a 4/5 for a good concept, amazing music (that reminds me of a KH song), and ability to keep me entertained long enough to get all the badges.

So... has anyone else gotten the hard badge before either of the medium ones? I just did.

It's not that this game is BAD.... though it's not great either - it's just that acing the game is HORRIBLE. The fact that I had to rely on the guide to ace almost any level above 6 says a lot. =\

I have ALL upgrades and find it difficult to get past 600 meters up.... And I RARELY die because of enemies. Don't tell me you all aren't accidentally slipping up and falling down because you accidentally missed the next platform when you jumped. This game needs some kind of upgrades that slows down the speed the screen scrolls up, or something like that. I have 95% of my deaths being from falling under either because the screen was going too fast or I accidentally jumped incorrectly.

Money issue is definitely the biggest one. It's difficult to pick up much money with all the enemies flooding the screen, but you can't exactly just skip it all as you can't farm money by re-doing levels. Great game, but that issue really brings it down. 3/5

Where the hell are the other enemies at? No matter how many levels I play, I keep seeing the same 6 blobs that are already in my beastiary.

Anti-Idle: The Game

Obviously some people are hacking the game and ruining the leaderboard despite the request not to. I mean seriously, 26 BILLION EXP in one day? NONSENSE! I've been playing for almost 4 hours straight with idle off and have only gotten 4 million EXP.

Well, looks like this is one Badge of the Day I won't be getting.....seriously, that's nuts.
