There is absolutely nothing more irritating in this game than getting knocked over, standing up, and then immediately getting knocked over again. ESPECIALLY on the massacre level.
Personally I think you should nerf the X percentage thing when you load the game back up. It makes getting end-game SO much faster, and it (to me) would seem more logical to do that as opposed to working your ass off making a ton of new levels since people could barrel through them so fast. Also, Pretty sure Respecing your battle tokens should at the very least cost something, because if you can just limitlessly modify it for whatever you need each and every time it makes it way easier. For instance, lets say you are having a hard time with a boss. You respec all of it to repair. You beat the boss, respec it all to resource reward so you can auto-upgrade like a boss. It makes things way too easy. Apologies if controversial.
Kind of wish games like these would let go of my freaking hand... These things are self-explanatory, and get really annoying. At least make the tutorials optional...
Also, there might be a memory leak. I get random lag spikes in this where it ran fine before. it almost always seems to happen after the first jump across the lava to the second bat.
Saw comments on game glitching people the victory for final boss, kept fighting over and over and eventually it happened. On one of my runs I had him about 10 hits from death so I pretty much got it legitimately anyways. died due to him summoning way to many minions.
One more thing: this might have been for simplicity and ease for the programmers, but maybe change the value or symbol for the upgrades / add another one because it says one oval thing is 1000, but when you want to repair ship or shield, it is obviously not 1000 per oval since i Have 96$ right now, and had one oval, and fully recharged to five ovals on the ship repair and am only down to 87$. this might cause confusion for others. Sorry for lengthy and numerous posts ;-;.
I also am confused as to how to explain this but uhm... I don't know if it is just me that experiences this, (normally such things don't bother me, this is as to why I am confused) but my eyes are getting bothered by the flames... twitching back and forth I guess you could say, since it is doing it so rapidly... It could be just me, but I thought it worth mentioning.
I do like how the ship changes sizes though, makes it a little less boring at least to me for some reason. Also, the ship's design looks rather neat, with the flames trailing behind it :P.
Also, on the Screen where you upgrade the ship with the constantly turning red flame things (not trying to be mean or anything in these, just curious and trying to help) are they.. needed during that sequence..? I can understand if it is to draw the players attention to the ship during the game play to aid in focusing in on it, but during the upgrade screen it seems a little unnecessary.
*confusion as to how the screen with the numbers 1 2 3 and 4 and the rest of the game are related, though once played, i got the gist of it.* A few suggestions : Make the background not go by so fast maybe, as (at least for me) it continuously distracts me and makes me focus with it, rather than the ship, and it also slightly irritates my eyes, with how fast it is whizzing by as compared to the meteors and the ship itself. I noticed the ship gets bigger near the top of the screen and smaller as it goes down, and is no doubt intended, but maybe Someone could explain to me why, or if it was just for fun.
I loved chapter 1 and 2 of this series, and before fanboys downvote me repeatedly, I have my reasons. Both 1 and 2 had startling moments, an atmospheric feel, and truly felt like a horror-scenario game. This felt Like a sequel merely by name.
My reasons for this : it lost the atmospheric feel entirely, fans of horror in general realized something was going to go wrong soon as we had to double check the door and peek through, and the fact I had to click the same items repeatedly to get it irritated me to no end due to backtracking when I thought I had the item, because I knew I could get it. I did not get it because of unnecessary excess dialogue. You had a theme going and a great one that was atmospheric, and I can understand a developer's need to experiment with what they are doing, but to try it on an already successful series, even for experienced ones can sometimes be devastating. I hope you do well with part 4, but I am merely giving my input.
Thank you for the feedback. We will definitely change the controls or add a setting to change it. Is there anything else you would like to see?
