You need 12 0-star ratings to unlock hipster. Here's the easiest way to do it, without selling anything:
(1) Close all amenities
(2) Restrict all rooms
(3) Set lobby restrictions so that all customers are restricted to just one room type, preferably one that you don't have (or don't have many of).
This will cause customers to pile up at the reception, and after a while they'll rate you 0 stars and go away. (+) if this helped!
It seems to me that the slot machines have such great odds, you can expect a net money gain from playing them. You get positive odds in the long run - so keep your bets low, so your money reserves lasts you long enough. That way you can make some good money from the slots, which is very helpful early on in the game. + this to let others know!
For those of you who got stuck after finishing the last battle, like myself: if you just refresh, you'll still have the "My name is John Turner" achievement for finishing the game, and all you need to do is just finish any battle (other than the last one, that one will just hang again) to get Kong to register it and award you the hard badge. + this to show this to others.
Good game, but the bugs really spoiled it. As was already said, NPCs standing in front of entrances and such are really annoying, but there was one bug that completely broke the game. The first time I played through, it appears I didn't unlock the "go take a bath" dialogue option for the fish merchant. Apparently I needed to talk to the green soldier guy BEFORE beating the tournament... And because I didn't, I had to replay almost the entire game. That really spoiled it for me - it would've been a good game otherwise.
This is not true. If you speak to the fashion merchant, he tells you the fish merchant and rare items merchant are dating. If you talk to her and the fish merchant, this is enough ifo to use the shrooms on him. The guard is there incase players dont talk to the merchants.
Nice game. The last level wasn't as hard as everyone is saying it is... it took me less time to finish that than the time I wasted looking for the A in the forcefield level. That was a dick move, oddgoo. :P
Nice game, but the difficulty level is really off. The very last level was literally the only level where I needed to make an effort aiming my grenades properly. And not even a lot of effort, mind you.
@wisemage: Keep trying on the Hostile bug. With just one shotgun headshot kill, you should be able to achieve 10k points. Don't bother doing it "the right way" anyway, because that challenge is bugged; it doesn't register kills from previously passed rounds. In Gun Running, accuracy is counted, but technically it makes no difference. If you miss more than 3 targets, 100% acc won't be enough, and if you miss only 3 or less, you'll have enough points even with just 1% acc.
HARD BADGE: READ THIS! 1) SNIPING: You need 100% accuracy in 60 seconds or less... Very difficult, but possible! After you shoot a target, quickly move crosshair to next one. After the reload, the crosshair will move back where you left it. The target will be back at its default position! This way, you can anticipate where the target will be and shoot very quickly. 2) PISTOL: Use the H&K USP .45. You can miss no more than one target. Memorize! 3) HOSTILE: Bugged, therefore very easy. Simply use the shotgun to headshot 1 hostile (accuracy will be something crazy like 300%), then die. 4) GUN RUNNING: Use H&K G36C 5.56. Accuracy doesn't matter so shoot small bursts. You can miss no more than 2 targets. Memorize! 5) LONG RANGE: You need over 85% accuracy in less than 50 seconds. Use M4A1 SOCOM 5.56. Press F when game starts to switch to "semi" mode. Take your time with the targets that are further away, but shoot the close ones quickly. VOTE THIS COMMENT UP IF IT HELPED YOU!
Great game. Just a couple of remarks, on issues that can hopefully be resolved in a future update.
- First off, after the loading screen, no matter what I set the quality to, I always end up in low quality. I can set it to high quality manually in the settings menu no problem, though.
- Second, in the challenges, it seems the statistics for "x engaged" and "x missed" are displayed the wrong way around. The final score tally seems correct, though.
- And lastly, I agree with Grolox; the sniping challenge is simply way too hard for "just" 30 points. Either change the badge to "impossible", or lower the requirements for this particular challenge. 75-80 seconds or something should be a little more realistic, but still challenging.
That said, the game is brilliant. I especially love the sniping mechanics. Feels very genuine.
Something weird happened to my R.O.F... The 1280 rps gattling cannons I bought are firing extremely slow all of a sudden? Does this have something to do with the R.O.F. bugfix you implemented yesterday?
