I've got to 2nd city so far; my suggestion - make same resources from previous cities keep the upgrades, like eggs- it will be kinda wild progress, lowering the need for some classical "reset" from other idle games.
No, it's not possible as products have completely different balance/price/cost/supply chains, so you can't just link products from one city to the other. It's too different.
