*gets increasingly frustrated* Dear God, give us more food sources! Do you want people to play this or not? I love Asterix, and this game is very easy on the eyes, but you guys have to balance this out and seriously rethink your "greed first, customers second" mentality. This game *could* be great... but until it is, I don't think I'll be playing much longer.
The steps required:
Click mirror for glass shard.
Click bed for bell & sheet.
Flush toilet, then quickly click bowl & grab nut.
Use glass w/ sheet for knife.
Go RIGHT, click X-Rays.
Click button under Lewis's hand.
Go RIGHT, talk to Mad Hatter - be polite! :) Finish conversation [Leave]
Go LEFT, use knife on Lewis's torso.
Use magical nut w/ hole in Lewis.
Use knife on lower-right stomach, then click hole.
Use knife to kill worm that emerges!
WAIT... (you will grow large again after some muffled dialogue).
Go RIGHT to see Hatter's note.
Go RIGHT again & click door.
Click open door in hall.
Go RIGHT, Click computer screen, & type "Unlock March" - hit [enter]
Go RIGHT twice & take photos from the (now open) safe.
Go RIGHT again to see painting...
Using buttons, change painting to show:
- Head of a rooster
- Torso with a heart
- Hand dropping a coin.
Wait for door to drop down, then click it.
Click console in front of you.
~THE END~
An OK game, but the art & music is where it shines.
While the leveling of the green gentleman (Cavalier) seemed broken indeed, this was quite addicting and kept me matching colors until I'd earned that Hard badge! Even with it's flaws, a little grinding went a long way... and with moderately good gear and a kind board, I found it easy enough to finish without frustration. I genuinely enjoyed it, actually, which is what matters... right? Good game 4/5 stars
Never make another Papa's Game again!! Spend your time making more of *these* instead!! I've had a lot of fun playing, and I love the vast (and often amusing) weapon variety.
Please let us customize the controls, and give us the ability to *view the objectives (Challenges) while playing*!! Either via the Pause menu, or by hovering the cursor over the stars (frankly, this should have been obvious).
Easily 4/5 stars, and I'm a strict rater.
I can't believe it, but 2 Ninjas + 1 Cat & 1 Robin Hood (when you unlock him) kinda blows the 3 Ninja/1 cat team away. I had considerably less trouble (and utilized the special attack less frequently) with that Hood on my team. The added power in the front allowed me to mow down enemies with a simple sweeping motion, and I didn't have to pause to get those followers in front of me to fall. Overall, this is game is a lot of fun and kept me playing to earn the hard badge! Absolutely perfect music to keep me going, too.
This 3/5 star game becomes at least 4/5 stars simply because of the pink kitty. I played this game several times *after* getting the badges, JUST to see the cat walking. Never underestimate how much a cute or clever (and often seemingly insignificant) aspect can add to a gameplay experience. Well done!
