Correction: Berserker increases speed by 10% and ATTACK by the same amount. I wrote speed twice

It does. With Odin, you can use the Berserker spell which temporarily increases speed by 10%, along with speed by the same amount and gold pillaging capacity by 10x. Other than that, following the tech path and time traveling yields insight which can be used to purchase upgrades, including troop speed. There's also the magic path, Following Odin and reincarnating allows you to get the haste power, which also increases speed.
