I saw the minecraft aether mod and thought of this XD
Anyway, I believe the name comes from the Aether, which is an element, a sort of atmospheric place far above heaven in the clouds just before the sun. It is made up of the essence aether, which is lived in and breathed by the gods themselves. It's the godly version of Oxygen.
I, to be honest, Don't think Pete died. The bird, who if MrHedge64 is correct, is his mother, says "You're eyes are opening!" and (nobody seems to acknowledge this), "I'll See you soon". I for one, believe Pete wakes up in the end. I don't quite believe that phrase could mean much else.
And now for an off-topic/game thing, this game is aboslutely inspiring here....the music is very well done, the art for it is exquisite, not much to not like about this game 5/5
To be honest entirely, it actually inspired me to write a story. :D Not so much all the themes more than the Red Wind Field, it's look seems to give me potent Deja Vu and...nostalgia...
dude, i got a request, and press "+" if you agree. i enjoy this, but sometimes piano music kinda brings me down. i suggest a 3rd music catch, METAL EDITION!!!!! It would be awesome, just puttin it out there. :D keep this commetn alive please.!!
MORE SETTINGS, MORE ENEMIES, MORE ABILITIES, MORE GUNS, MORE MAPS, MORE KICK-ASS EPICNESS!!!!!! any key not assigned to movement is assigned to an awesome new gun addition. AWESOME SHIT!!!
This game is beautiful. the soundtrack makes you think back to when you were a kid, as does the gameplay and the whole game. It takes imagination to make a game like this. also if you like this, try "Coma." it is a similar game, a little less childhood based than this, but they both make never think about our world and your imagination the same way again.
neeeeeddd sequel.....!!!!!. awesome game. this really speaks to me. the soundtrack, the graphics, its alll a work of art. it seems to remind me of my shitty childhood and the thoughts that came with it.
