My first impression of this was 'oh, a cool timewaster for a bit'. But as I went on, I got more and more invested. I really enjoy the rather unique gameplay you've got going on here, and I always enjoy games where you are forced to start over, but get a little stronger each time. If you ever decided to expand this concept even more and publish it on Steam or itchi.io, I'd definitely be interested!
Thanks for the nice feedback, that's something I'm really trying to do with my games here. I'd like to push some design boundaries so expect my upcoming games to also try some new things. I actually do hope to make a full game on Steam, so my current goal is to knock out a bunch of prototypes to see which idea is the best candidate for that so stay tuned!
Love it. Reminds me of games like Unpuzzle; the core mechanics are so simple yet you manage to create such satisfying levels with it. Hoping for an eventual sequel with more mechanics!
Just noticed I lost my save games in pretty much every other game I could think of as well, so this is either a Kong thing or, more likely, something weird on my end. Guess I'll have to make a text document for those saves after all...
Just lost all my progress with the latest update, a bit irritated since I was starting to get a decent way into the game. I know you could export a save, but really, who does that? Cloud saves, yeah, or those linked to your account, but actually having to paste lines and lines of code in some text document? I've really been loving this game (major kudos on the frequent updates, tweaking, etc), but now I'm reluctant to start over in case my save will just get wiped again...
So, my save file got COMPLETELY wiped with the latest update. No blueprint points, no gems, not a single orange cube. It's as if I never played at all, and I definitely didn't clear my cookies or anything. Kinda bummed out to say the least. Any chance for a fix?
Love that the snipers are wearing those little foliage hats. Like HOLY SHIT I ALMOST DIDN'T SPOT YOU THERE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BIG EXPANSE OF NOTHING.
Suggestion: could there perhaps be a way implemented to easily compare your equipped armor/weapon to the ones in your inventory? It's a bit of a hassle to constantly mouse-over back and forth.
I think you went overboard with how badly you let Touhou 'inspire' you. (Nathalie and Lance? I liked them better when they were called Reimu and Marisa; some of the boss patterns seem to be lifted straight from Imperishable Night)
I still rated this a 5, because in the end it's a very solid game, but I can't decide whether or not it genuinely deserves it.
In before downvotes.
