You just won the Terminal Velocity (Hard) Badge (7/11/2024)
Accelerated Curriculum Badge achieved Jan. 22 2022. It only took 12.5 years, but I finally did it.
Fun game, finished it, found all of the tablets, but BOTD and the other badge didn't trigger.
Definitely recommend the game if you like escape puzzles.
So if you draw a monster you already have it just doesn't count and you've wasted resources on a draw? And you can't get those resources back on a wave you've already beaten so if you're stuck you're just stuck until you've accrued enough gold to level your towers up to kill everything in the wave?
Absolutely asinine game mechanics.
I was starting to get worried that there might be a game behind all the ads!
The first portion of the game (which isn't really related to the second portion of the game as far as I can tell) is actually pretty interesting. It starts off as a game you've probably seen in a mobile ad and moves on to be a deck builder. The second portion of the game is fine, if not a bit generic.
Why are there save points between portions of the story that are only dialogue? It's wild that this game takes 45+ minutes to complete and the interactive sections make up about 5 to 10 minutes of that time.
Great game, I had a lot of fun!
Needs a little work on balancing, I lost a round with the spearmen early on and they were never able to recover in terms of level, making them useless for most of the playthrough. My knights/wizards (especially my wizards) were overpowered by the end though, so I was able to take out the boss extremely quickly.
Addicting game, I'm in my 10th season or so. Once you get up to higher difficulty ratings on the dynamic difficulty setting you start to see some wild secondaries on the defensive side of the ball. I wish my receivers had half the ability to catch or ball awareness of some of these defenses.
If your game is laggy and you have tabs open try closing out of some of the other tabs. I closed out of about 3 tabs and the game started running smoothly (I'm on Chrome).
An undo-move button would be great, no counting how many times I was forced into a move I didn't mean to make because there was no way for me to withdraw a card I accidentally placed.
Their goalie is facing their goal, doing a handstand, still scores after both of my players managed to launch themselves over the goals. This game is simple, fun, and hilarious 5/5.
Anyone complaining about the game being play to win is a fool. One, you can't win, since there is nothing to beat. At best, you can meet goals and get all of the achievements, but that's not necessarily winning. The second point, and the more important of the two has to do with the devs. of the game. HyperHippo has done an amazing job of keeping up with fan requests and responding to posts in a timely manner, they deserve to have kreds donated to them from anyone willing to tip. It's not "pay to win" as much as "tip because amazing developers are constantly updating the best idle game on kong."
