Is anyone else having issue with the controls? No, this isn't an "I can't do it" thing - it's a "I can't do ANYTHING" thing - The character WONT move. It only seems to be happening on certain Kongregate games though. (And yes, I've clicked on the game screen and everyfink. :P) So, yeah, anyone else having this prob?
A glitch (well, it better be!) - Sometimes the extra turrets won't fire. My first turret was fine, but the others after that wouldn't fire at all. Other than that it's a good mini game.
Isn't there a huge copyright infridgement on the music? - It's by a band called 'Machinae Supremacy' and is a cover of a Commodore 64 song - pretty sure it's 'Flimbos Quest'
FFS! Is it really unreasonable for all flash games, at least those with frantic action, to have the setting so that the game pauses when focus is lost from the gamefield? I'm sick of my character suddenly freezing and being open to attack because I leave the play area for a second. The obvious answer would be to lock the cursor until pressing pause/escape/etc (is that possible?) or making the game fullscreen so that there isn't anywhere for the mouse to go... seriously this should be a standard thing by now.
Sorry to spoil it - but you CAN control your dreams. Whoever says you can't just doesn't know how. You might not be able to control them all the time, but I've had plenty of dreams where I've been able to go places, do things, have objects, meet people and such that I've wanted appear as soon as I realise that I'm in a dream. It really is just a matter of willing it into existence. A real reason why the character doesn't dream up a tank? The programmer didn't want him to (Also judging by the reaction, he doesn't KNOW it's a dream, and may not be strong-willed(?) enough to control his dreams - if you really want to put logic in there)
What this game really needs is score bonuses - i.e seperate to the number of spikes you avoid, you can get points for getting really close to a spike, hanging in the air for long periods, doing flips, etc. You could even get certain death or maim bonuses such as COST ME AN ARM AND A LEG (Losing one arm and one leg at the same time nets you some points), INSTANT DEATH (All body parts seperate at once gets some points), WHO NEEDS LIMBS ANYWAY? (Survive with all four limbs lopped off) - there's a good few ways to make this more fun than just dodging the spikes. If I had time to learn to use flash I'd make it myself! and I don't think MMF has that good a physics engine. :P
